Maybe today's the day. I've been waiting for months for a case to work. Guess I should go ask Bernard - if he's here. Bernard' pretty much the boss here,but he never really shows up to work as much as he should, but no one really cares. If he's here now that would be a lifesaver. I got up from my desk. "Excuse me," I said tapping on some mans shoulder. He turned around, it was Dan. He works in Forensics, I haven't really talked to him before. "What?" He said loudly. "I was just wondering, is Bernard here?" Dan rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but I doubt he wants to talk to you. I've got work to do." He walked away. What was wrong with him? So Bernard is here, maybe I actually will get lucky. I started to walk to his office. It's pretty hard to find, but if you come down here as much as I do you just know the path by heart. When I reached Bernard's office I opened the door. He was sitting at his desk with his feet up. "Excuse me sir." I said quietly. "No Smith," Bernard said with a sigh. "Nothing for you yet." "But sir I..." "Smith," He interrupted. "Get out, don't come back."
