Raven and Jack rushed along the trail, running, spriting. The trees were getting denser by the second. Raven wasn't going to stop for nothing, it was almost like she was trying not to get caught, but by what? Through the trees there was an opening, and in that opening there was an old house.
"Here we are. It may not look like much, but it's home." Raven gestured for Jack to walk into the house. It was a beautiful house indeed. There was a crystal candler, a christmas tree in the corner, and there were stockings hung upon the fireplace. There was a rug in front of the sofa, the rug was very soft and fluffy. 'Wow this place is impressive.' Jack thought to himself.
While Jack was looking at the house Raven went and talked to the leaders of the survivors. Jack was bow watching Raven, he noticed the white streaks in her hair and a scar on her face.
Raven was done talking and when to Jack, "Boss wants to see you". She motioned for Jack to walk over. Jack has very hesitant, but he walked over and followed Raven. The boss was very tall with the most beautiful eyes. They were like Ravens, he thought to himself for a moment and then looked to the boss.
"Hello Jack. So you're one of us?" He passed and looked at Jack for a moment. Jack flinched at the sound of his voice and nodded, "I see. You are. Do you know what's happening outside? Or are you like the others?"
Jack though for a moment and questioned what was going on, but he shook his head. He truly hadn't seen anything, but the visions.
"You don't? You haven't seen it? Raven where did you find him?" The boss sighed as Jack looked down at his feet. Raven blabber on about how she'd found him paralyzed in the forest. Jack wasn't listening he just wanted to go home to his father and have a nice dinner in silence.
"Son! Are you listening?" Jack looked up and jumped. He shook his head no, "Then listen, you were paralyzed in a forest, and you didn't see them?"Jack wondered a bit and arranged his words.
"What are them sir?" He said with shaking in his voice. He was forced to talk so much today, he just wanted to cry.
"The killers! I would have figured you had seen them! They are running killing people like you and me. It's in the eyes, if you look at them they get possessed. Or at least that what it sounds like. I've had more and more reports of random people killing our people. You truly haven't seen them?" Jack looked at the man with fear and swallowed.
"No sir. But why are they k-k-killing us?" Jack didn't know what he meant by us, be he just wanted to know why people were out to kill him. Jack looked at the man and tears started to roll down his face.
"No need to cry, it'll be okay. But it's because of our curse. Each of us carry a trait that we all share, our eyes. These eyes may seem normal, but they somehow can make people go crazy and they want to kill us." Jack swallowed hard and wiped his flowing tears. His plans were very damp, and he was breathing hard.
"Jack it'll be okay! Were going to stop this!" Raven said patting him on the back. Raven sighed and looked to her father.
"Raven we need to go out for supplies still. It's your turn to go get them." He father was giving Jack a worried look. "Gather you list and head out. Come back as fast as you can." He walked away and Raven had a wave of fear splash over her. Jack looked to her with watery eyes.
She started to sweat. "Jack, what are you going to do when I'm gone. It's dangerous to stay here by yourself you might get beat up, or something worse." Raven grabbed a handful of hair and grunted. Jack put a hand on her back.
"I'll come too." Jack muttered. Raven looked to Jack and her eyes widened. She hugged Jack tightly like a sister would.
"Thanks Jack".
