Daniel works at the McRonalds (Ashton: Hehehehehe do ya' get iiit) near school, so he often sees familiar faces. Most of them leave him be, but ever since Thomas discovered where he worked he's made his life even more difficult than it already was by coming by and making a mess that Daniel would have to clean up. Hopefully Thomas doesn't drop by again Daniel thought hopefully. He walked to the back of the building, pulled out his key, unlocked the 'employees only' door and walked in, shutting it behind him before he locked it again. "Hey, Sherry. Sorry I'm a little late." Daniel called out.

"It's good, just come over here and get working!" Sherry, the manager, replied. But as soon as she saw Daniel, she came to a halt, then ran towards him. "Oh my god! Why are you covered in bruises and bandages?! What happened?!" She exclaimed, hands tracing over the visible wounds.

"Just some stupid kid at school." Daniel chuckled, pushing the concerned woman's hand away. "I'm fine. Eddie patched me up. Now stop it so I can get to work, please." the boy said as he walked past her to the register.

The woman let out a sigh of defeat but said, "Fine. Just... take it easy, okay?"

"Aye aye, Cap'n!" the teenager said with a salute then put on his 'McRonalds' cap and went to the register. "Hi! May I take your order?"

Sherry looked at the boy pitifully. Poor baby...

"Hi! What can I get you?" Daniel surveyed before looking up to see who the customer was. "Woah! Hi, James!" Daniel greeted excitedly.

"Hi, Daniel!" James replied with a smile. "I didn't know you worked here!"

"Yeah, I've never seen you come here before. I only work on Mondays through Thursdays. Do you usually come on different days?"

"Yeah, I usually come on Fridays but today I just had a hankering for McRonalds."

"Well, that's cool! What would you like?"James told the boy his order and grabbed his number. He chose a seat that could see the register, so he could watch Daniel work. He didn't know why, but he couldn't seem to take his eyes off the boy. He felt as though he could watch him work for hours without getting bored.

He looks so cool looking like that. Wait, how the hell does he see with that hair in his eyes? (Ashton: STFU JAMES. IT'S MAGIC.) He's so bubbly and cute... wait, cute? The hell... James was dragged out of thought at the sound of his food tray being placed on the table pulled him out of his trance.

"Here ya' go!" Daniel said happily while placing down the tray.

"Oh, thanks." James replied, guilty about his thoughts of the boy. Daniel started to walk back to the register as James took a bite of his burger.

He was about to take another bite when he heard a pained yell. He looked for the source of the sound until his eyes came across Daniel, curled up on the floor drenched in a dark brown liquid with steam coming off of it. A foot planted itself in his stomach as he let out another pained groan, tears in his eyes. As James looked for the owner of the foot, he followed it up to see a blonde, muscular boy laughing with an empty cup facing down. The cup had his name on it, and a label of what it was. Coffee, Thomas.
