Seeing John like this was a painful sight. He was acting too natural, too friendly, as if nothing ever happened and the blond just couldn't stomach it.

That day, Arlo finally made up his mind to talk with John again, and he was ready for everything. If John wanted to punch him, he wouldn't stop him, if he wanted to yell at the blond, or to keep on pushing him away, Arlo would endure all of it. He just needed to talk with John, to convince him, and to extend his hands towards him.

He was just wasn't expecting for John's father to be there instead of him, and although Arlo have prepared himself on handling John, he wasn't prepared for his father.

Does John's dad knows? His question was answered when John's father smiled at him, expressing how pleased he is with John having another more friend.

He doesn't appeared troubled at all, and the blond assumed that he didn't know about what happened to his son, and that John never told his father about what Arlo did either.

It was difficult to meet Mr. William's eyes, especially when he've cause a lot of pain to his son, and that he was the reason why John was hurt in the first place.

He was even invited to eat dinner with him along with John and Blyke, and everything was just too much.

John was being so fake, acting as if nothing happened, as if he didn't disliked the whole situation he was in. Along with him, Blyke was doing the same, acting like him and John were the greatest friends.

The atmosphere was just so off, and Arlo didn't understand how Blyke could stomach all of this.

"John is a very odd guy." Blyke said, "He turned down going to the arcade just because he still hasn't finished his homeworks. I told him I'll help him, but he takes pride on handling it alone."

Mr. William laughed at what Blyke said, "I remember forcing my son to play poker with me and his friend Seraphina before, he didn't wanted to since he still hasn't finished his assignment." he faced his son, "What kind of a student are you, John? Couldn't you slack off for once? You're wasting your highschool life."

"If I didn't finish my homework, I'll surely fail--!"

"As long as you showed-up daily it should be fine."

"Way to be a role model, dad!"

John, Blyke and Mr. William laughed afterwards, while Arlo just turned away.

Unfortunately, John's father noticed the blond's silence.

"How about you Arlo, anything to say about my son? You've been silent, please don't be shy." he spoke, "My son here is shameless, for sure you have some tales."

John meets the blond's gaze. It almost seemed like he was begging the blond to tell a lie, or to make something up.

"The first time John invited me for a drink, he brought me on a milk tea shop." Arlo started, not wanting to lie, "I ordered coffee, but he insists that I try the mango boba. We argued for awhile, until we ended up splitting the order."

"I ordered a coffee for myself, while John ordered two drinks. Right before we leave, he shoved me the other drink and told me to take it and atleast try it."

"That sounds just like him, John's the type to share the things that he likes." John's father smiled, "He wouldn't even give up until you eventually gave whatever he's forcing you a try."

The blond remembered that day, and he couldn't help but feel more and more guilty. Arlo had intentions, while the dark haired man just wanted to befriend him.

"But I'm curious Arlo, did you ended up liking what my son gave?"

"I did." he even brought Remi and Elaine there.

He just never admitted that he liked it to John, saying that he hated the taste when he really did enjoyed it.

Arlo wasn't the type to be honest with his feelings.

The rest of the dinner, there were few more questions about them and John. Blyke gave what seemed to be a fake answer everytime, while Arlo said a lot of omission.

Thankfully, the dinner ended, and John had to escort his father back to the hotel where he was staying.

Instead of going home, the blond stayed in front of John and Blyke's dorm. Although Blyke told him to come inside, Arlo rejected it, waiting outside for John to return.

It took around 45 minutes for John to return. He was no longer wearing his mask, and his face reflected what he truly felt.

"Don't come here again, Arlo. I already told you before-- we have nothing to talk about. If you're hoping for a forgiveness or a chance, then you can kindly fuck off."

The blond was silent for awhile, before he decided to speak, he was planning to ask for another chance again, but right now, Arlo was too bothered by the fact that Mr. Williams wasn't aware about the things that happened to John.

"You need to tell your father."

"He doesn't need to know anything, and you don't have the right to order me." John said.

"He's your father John, he deserves to know. Tell him about everything that happened, tell him about all of the terrible things that I did. Please John, just..."

"And why is this your business? Don't feel too close, Arlo. We're not friends, and you've already ruined the chance I gave you."

"I know."

"If you do know then leave. I don't want your presence. Quit fucking around and stay out of of my life! Isn't this what you wanted?"

"John, this isn't what I want right now--"

"Then what do you even want?! There's nothing left for you to take!! Can't you even see what you've done?! Was it just really hard for you to leave, Arlo?"

The blond took a deep breath, "I just want you to be happy."

"Can you even hear yourself?! Do you think that this would make me happy? Do you think that ambushing me on the fields and locking me up would? You're fucking blind. I was happy when I thought you were my friend! I was happy before you betrayed me!"

"Why... What did I even do to you?!"

John was desperately hold back his tears, although his eyes already appeared wet.

"I'm really sorry..."

The blond have apologized before, but he would apologize again and again as long as it takes for the dark haired man to forgive him.

John didn't do anything wrong. John never did, the problem was just how the blond viewed things, and how he didn't even considered the consequences of his actions.
