Unexpected Relationship

Every staff in the office kept on congratulating her whenever they passed by. All she replied to them was only smiling.It had been a month since the announcement was made official. Sure, everyone was surprised with it.

"Who would have thought the (Y/N) we've known for being single for three years now is the girlfriend of our new CEO. Oh hail Wall Maria!" exclaimed Eren as he, Mikasa and Armin had lunch with (Y/N) in the cafe.

Eren Jeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert were closed friends of (Y/N) since she first joined the company. They were working on the same floor as her too. Although they were not far by age with (Y/N), the three had been working in Ackerman Corporation for five years.

"Isn't he your cousin whom you said was handling the Europe's branch, Mikasa?" Armin asked.

"Yes. He is instructed by Uncle Kenny to bring more profit to Europe's branch and if he succeeded, he would be taking over the CEO position. I didn't expect he managed to handle it within one year," Mikasa answered.

"(Y/N), you will be moving on the same floor as Levi soon, right?" Mikasa asked afterward.

(Y/N) took a bite of her home-made sandwich while the three of them looked at her.

"No, I declined and requested to be remained on the same floor where I work currently."

"Seriously, no one ever dared to say no when they received order from the mighty Levi," Eren said.

"I know. Which is why he is sending Hanji to our department," (Y/N) replied with her shaky voice and her eyes were looking straight at the entrance of the cafe.

Stood there was the hyperactive Hanji Zoe looking for (Y/N). Once she spotted her, she walked over to them with a big smile plastered on her face. In her hand there was a small envelope.

"Yo, Shorty's girlfriend and her fella friends!" Hanji greeted.

"Hi Hanji," (Y/N) greeted back.

"Here. It's from Shorty."

(Y/N) took the envelope and read its content. Hanji turned her gazed to the trio and talked with them about various things she did in the lab including how she wanted to try out experiment on Eren. This made Eren's eyes turned to terror.

"Stop it, Hanji or I will burn Sawney and Bean," threatened Mikasa.

Sawney and Bean were Hanji's favourite exotic plants she kept in her lab. She got them while on a trip to an unknown island. Only God knows what was on her mind the time she decided to buy them. Luckily, the plants passed the immigration check.

"How about doing it on Levi?" (Y/N) suddenly muttered.

Now, all of them turned to her with shocking expression. The aura the girl emitted was dark. She folded back the envelope.

"Hanji, where is he by the way?" she asked politely but it sounded off.

"Err... he is in his office with Erwin," Hanji reluctantly answered.

"Thank you. See you guys later."

With that, (Y/N) walked toward the lift and pressed the top floor of the building where Levi's office was.

The petite (H/C) haired girl stormed out of the lift and stood in front of the luxurious wooden door. A shining steel plate with Levi's name and his position was placed in front of it. She took a deep breath before barging in. Whatever conversation that Levi and Erwin had had stopped as they both looked at (Y/N). She did not care if she was considered rude toward her boss but she was fuming inside. Erwin gave an 'Oh' expression while Levi remained stoic.

"What is the meaning of this?!" (Y/N) asked as she held out the content of the envelope.

"Tch."

"Don't tch-ed me! Answer me."

"I better leave you two for now. We'll discuss later, Levi," Erwin interrupted and walked out of the room.

As he passed by (Y/N), he gave her a nod and she nodded back as thank you. Once he left and the door shut, (Y/N) glared at Levi once again.

"Why do I have to move in with you? I have my own apartment."

"Had."

"What?"

"I bought your apartment from the landlord and you no longer live there."

(Y/N)'s jaw dropped.

"How about my stuff?"

"They've been sent to our apartment."

"I only agreed to be your girlfriend, not moving in with you. That's the deal, remember?"

Suddenly, Levi smirked.

"Are you sure you only agreed to only be my girlfriend?" he asked back and took a piece of document from his left drawer.

It was the contract that (Y/N) signed. She blinked at Levi few times who was now walking toward her. She was confident that in the contract there was not mentioning about moving in with him or whatsoever.

"In other words, you have to stick with me so people believe that we are couple who is madly in love with each other. This is also for your safety," Levi told her.

"And since you requested to stay on the same floor with your colleagues, you move in living with me instead," he added.

There was a long silence.

"Then I take back my request and -"

"Do you think this is a child game, brat?"

"Sorry."

Another silence.

"If you are worried I intervene your privacy, I will not go that further. I respect that," Levi said.

(Y/N) looked up at her boss a.k.a her boyfriend by contract. Their eyes met. She could not read what was on his mind but his steel grey eyes showed her that she can trust his word. In the end, she nodded.

"Good. Now, give me your left hand," Mr. CEO instructed.

"W-what for?"

"To put this on you, brat."

Levi took out a ring from his black suit's pocket. (Y/N)'s eyes went big. She was still stunned that she did not realize Levi grabbed her left hand and put the ring on.

"That looks perfectly fit," he softly muttered.

The warmth of his hand on hers gave (Y/N) a tingling sensation. She stared at the ring.

"(Y/N)(L/N), from today onwards you are no longer my girlfriend but my fiancee and you are going to live with me until our contract ends."
