Zap! The fluorescent bathroom lights flicker and I look at myself in the mirror contemplating what I had just done. How could I do that, what is wrong with me? Hoping no one had seen me I remove my shaking hands from the pockets they were sitting in. A mix of scarlet and crimson blood clings to them, I have to get rid of this I thought. The faucet squeaks when I turn it on, my hands began to tremble even more as the blood seeps off. Zap! Someone needs to fix that light before I fix it myself. Whoosh the sink drains and with it the reminder of what I've done. I hope the don't have cameras. Exiting the bathroom I expect to see flashing lights and handcuffs awaiting me, I'm shocked when I am only met by the clerk.  He looked at me and said, "you alright son, you were in there a while"
"Yes, sir, I'm fine" Did he see my hands? Does he know what I did? To make myself seem less suspicious I grab a bag of chips and hand the mangy clerk my money.
"You sure you're alright you look pale" What is wrong with this guy, he's asking to many questions.
"Yes sure I'm great, the light in that disgusting bathroom is broken fix it, have a nice night" or don't I don't care. I walk out to my rusting beat up car, immediately after I get in start eating the chips I purchased. Chips have never tasted this good before. My thoughts wander to the past hour and I can feel the chips creeping back up. I violently swing the door open and immediately began to expel the contents of my stomach. I have to leave the clerk can still see me. Bam! The door closes more violently than intended, he heard me, he had to have heard me. Griping the steering wheel until me knuckles were white I sped out of the parking lot as fast as I could. I have to find a place to get rid of the knife. I begin to drive miles out of town to the starry field where I proposed to Eden. That was an amazing day, she still loved me then. Trekking through the field me showers pick up a pound of mud along the way, great another thing I have to get rid of. Thud, I drop the bloody knife behind a tree and hope it won't be found. Just before I leave I bend down and touch the knife one last time. Maybe I did the right thing. I can't have the mud get all over my car, I have to get rid of this, how? I begin to panic, my hearts racing , I can't breathe. They know what I did, Eden, what will she think of me, I'm going to lose her forever, I can't lose her. I rip the shoes off my feet and chuck them as far into the field as I can. Drained I just fall to the ground and try to calm myself. Everything will be okay as long as I stay calm. How can I stay calm? Just think about Eden. I say out loud everything that I love about her.
