John woke up and came upstairs to find Melody and Sherlock sitting in the armchairs, sipping coffee. Melody nodded, "Mornin." Sherlock slightly waved.
John was looking at the two in surprise. It's been awhile since both of them were in the same room and not arguing or shooting walls or playing instruments. It was a moment of peace and quiet.
"Are we going to the police station to tell about the toxin?" John asked. Sherlock looked at him blankly, sipping coffee, "Yeah." He got up and got his coat and scarf and John already went outside.
Sherlock turned to Melody, "Are you coming?" Melody sipped her coffee, "No way. It's too peaceful to be going to the police station." A smirk flickered on Sherlock's face. "Maybe we should get you away from that coffee."
Melody looked at him, no smile on her face or any expression whatsoever. She stroked her coffee mug, "Touch my baby and you'll be the one covered in explosives." Sherlock chuckled and left, closing the door behind him.
*
The pink phone rang once again. Sherlock looked at John and picked it up. A shaky voice came on the phone, "It's okay that you've come to the police. They can't help." It was a young man's voice.
Sherlock and the man had the conversation for quite some time. The man threatened the life of the bustling streets of London if Sherlock doesn't solve the case. He had eight hours to solve the next puzzle or else the man would be blown up by the explosives strapped to him.
Sherlock hung up the same time as Lestrade. Lestrade looked at Sherlock, "We got another one." And walked out. Sherlock and John followed.
* Melody:
Melody was asleep when her phone buzzed. She picked it up in a haze, but soon became alert.
CAN I COME UPSTAIRS
-JMMelody threw the phone and hid in Sherlock's bedroom while hearing the creaks of stairs. She starting shaking. Why am I acting like this? This is stupid just go and face him! Melody sighed and went out of Sherlock's room.
James was standing in the doorway, chewing gum. "May I?" he asked. Melody shook her head, "May not." James sighed and rolled his eyes, "You always were so stubborn." Melody pursed her lips and crossed her arms, "You know nothing of my habits."
James smiled, "That's a lie! I know quite a considerable amount of your habits, Miss Schiller." Melody didnt move. She whispered, "Name one." James crept closer until his face was centimeters away from her face. he smiled seductively, "The gum."
Melody bit her tongue to hide a smile. She remembered the days when she always chewed gum. She had gotten James hooked on it when she quit. "What do you want?" she backed away.
James shrugged, "I don't know. I'm bored. I just ordered Seb to put another person in Semtex." Melody scoffed, "Puh-lease I am much better than Seb. I can deck someone out before you tell me to."
James cupped her chin, clicking his tongue, "Ah but you left me, you see. You and I would've been great if you hadn't said no." Melody moved closer to intimidate him, "We would've been great if you hadn't destroyed my family." James let go of her and frowned. He turned his back on her and walked out the door.
