Prologue
No joke I'm the black sheep in my family; being the only one in my family with blonde hair, there are reasons for that. Here in Japan I was adopted in a Japanese family, with my shinny blonde hair it's hard to know if I'm really a part of the family. My parents were wealthy Europeans and the family I was adopted into were very close friends of my parents. I four years old at the time of their death, in the same car. I don't remember it very well and I never knew what was going on. I remember seeing something unimaginable in the road. The only reason why they died. The cops were called and they were buried together. I remember the long processes for my godparents to finally adopt me. I remember how hard school was with only knowing some Italian, and mainly English in japan. I was home schooled while my other siblings got to do so many activities. Now in junior high it's my first day and I can't wait for so many new adventures.
Chapter one
Expect the unexpected
"Abigail! Wake up!" I heard a loud voice right next to my ear. I've always been a heavy sleeper unlike my family, I could stay up all night and sleep all morning; they're all the complete opposite. "Abigail! Get up come on we need to hurry!" My eyes opened and I saw my sister, Her name is Ayami. Her hair is beautiful, black and shiny, her eyes just as bright as stars shine, but one of the most bossy people I know.
"I'm up! I'm up! Go away!" I yelled rubbing my eyes.
"Here's your uniform mom made us lunch it's on the counter. I'll be taking care of Makaoi!" Ayami explained, she takes care of Makaoi a ton because she loves children and loves helping mom and dad out; he's our youngest brother four. I finally pulled myself out of bed and put on my uniform. The uniform was a little to big but it's fine I thought to myself. I style my long blonde hair into a ponytail. I dug through piles to find my bad to find that Ayami put it on the dining room table.
"You're finally up I see!" my dad, Aoki, said. My mom set down the food for Makai and gave me a big smile. I smiled back and a big flash came upon my eyes. I looked down and my dad took a photo of me. I've always hated being in photos, it was the sad truth on what I look like, I mean little pimple here, smiling weird, or something, anything like that. I gave him a mad look and sat down.
"Can I see it?" I asked, my mom put some pancakes with blueberries in them on the table in front of me.
"No because you'll complain about it for years!" he said. I ate my pancake slowly waiting for Kaito. Before I knew it, I rested my head on my hand and fell right back to sleep. I was woken up to the same flash in my eyes.
"Hey! Stop dad!" when I yelled that I realized my dad didn't have the camera. I looked up to the tall person standing by the table realizing it was my older brother Kaito.
"Come on sleepy head we have to get to school," he said with my bag and his bag in his hands.
"Thanks," I said snatching it from his hand. We walked outside to find our bikes. I put the helmet on and rode with my brother down to the store. "Why are we at the store?" I asked.
"To get you some coffee! No falling asleep in the first day of school!" I looked at him and walked in. We walked to the back grabbing a small iced coffee from the freezer.
"You're buying it right?" I asked.
"No I thought you had money," he said.
"I don't have any money! Don't come here dragging me into places when I have no money on me!" I yelled getting flustered. He started to laugh and I looked at him.
"Of course I'll buy it, it was a joke. Calm down," I looked around the store and I saw the old man running it and his grandson behind him looking shocked. I waved with an awkward smile, "So sorry about that sir! Can we get this iced coffee please!" I dragged my brother up to the cashier. He looked up with bright wise eyes and said,
"You to seem a bit young to date," I looked at him for a long dumbfounded couple of seconds. Then I finally said,
"Sir, we're siblings," he laughed,
"So sorry about that! That will be ¥100," my brother and I walked out and while I put my coffee in my bag I looked up to see his grandson still watching me.
" What a creepy family " I thought. Once my brother and I got ready we rode off and made it to school a couple of minutes early to get to the assembly.
