He was as stunning as the sunset, as kind as the moon or something. Metaphors couldn't begin to describe this man, he seemed perfect! Every second you spent with him was heaven, every day that passed by that he wasn't there, you were dying, you'd known him as long as you can remember, and here he was, taking orders from you, your own employee, Josh...
"Hey Birdie, you look stunning today! Same as everyday" Josh told you, making you blush. That cute nickname he called you, Birdie, it made you forget your own name... Robin Samantha Pines, how you always hated that name, everyone belittled you for having the same last name as those stupid cartoon characters, but not Josh, Josh always protected you from insults, and made you feel better with compliments, he was dreamy, but you noticed he'd been acting odd.
"Gee, thanks, Joshie, but I've been meaning to ask you, you've been really inefficient and distracted lately, is something bothering you?" You asked
"Oh! Uh, well, sort of, but nothing important!" He answered, blushing redder than a tomato.
"Oh, you sure? If you need to talk, I'm here, I'm all for maximising efficiency if it means helping you out!"
"Well, I mean,"
"Take your time to think"
"Um, well, boss, working at this dull paper products company has sort of made me dull as well, I need some adventure in my life!"
"I see"
"Well, all this is to say, Birdie, will you go out with me?" He said to you, making direct eye contact, staring deep at you with his piercing green eyes, his blond hair flowing in the breeze set out by the air conditioner.
"Josh," You said, slightly blushing, "you know my policy on work relationships, strictly no dating!" You saw his face somehow turn even more red, now really embarrassed, he quickly got up from the table he was sitting on and started toward the door, before you rushed to close it. "Josh, wait!"
"W-what?"
"Maybe, just, maybe, nobody has to know?"
"Well... wouldn't that be lying?"
"No! Just... hiding the truth..."
"If you insist, honey..."
That's how you forgot about Josh your employee and met Josh your Boyfriend, but something still felt off, he never wanted to you to meet his family, and as the relationship continued, he started to become jealous of everything.
"Joshie, I'm going out with Charlie and Sasha, see you at 12, just reheat some leftovers if you get hungry!"
"Robin, I don't like that Sasha, she's always making advances on you, don't you think she might be toxic to our relationship"
"Joshie, just because she's gay doesn't mean she has to like me! You need to lighten up, plus, she's married to Natalie, you know that!"
"And why isn't Natalie coming with you and them?"
"She's abroad in Korea visiting family, Josh!"
"Whatever, fine, go cheat on me"
You slammed the door shut and ran off to your car, tearing up. By the time you got to Charlie's Place, you could've sworn she had a party the night prior, her house was a mess.
"Robin, you're here! Sorry, mind the trash!" Charlie called out to you from the living room
"Speaking of trash," Another voice piped up "that Josh, we need to talk about him"
"Charlie, who else is there with you?" You asked, still teary, and choking up.
"Oh you remember Lily! She's coming with us, Sasha is on her way!" Charlie responded, coming over to you in heels she clearly couldn't walk in, Lily following her, in very fashionable attire.
"Oh, right, Lily, uh, well, I think we should all go wait in the car, and," you turned to Lily, "we'll talk about him when we get there"
Just as you and the girls were walking towards the car, Sasha pulled up.
"Hey Guys!" She said, pulling into the driveway. She got out of the car and continued, "Let's get this bitch on the road!"
