Harry and Hermione: A Different Beginning

Chapter 2

Harry's POV:

"Harry, Harry"  I heard as Hermione was waking me up. "Ok, gonna get up now." I said. "My parents are going to wake up soon, and I don't know if they're going to approve  of us sleeping in the same room." She said.  "Harry, Hermione it's time for breakfast." I heard Mum say.  When we got down, mum cooked us eggs, bacon and pancakes. "Uh mum", it was still kinda awkward saying mum, but I was getting used to it. This is kinda my first time not cooking breakfast. "I'm sorry that your so called "family" treated you badly. Now, enjoy breakfast, we'll be leaving soon for work.

Hermione's POV: Dad, wait before we go can me and Harry go to the park?
"Sure, sweetie you and Harry can go." "Thanks dad, Bye." I replied.
"So, Harry, when do you want to go to the park?"
"Maybe this afternoon". He replied. " So want to go watch The Big Bang theory, which was our favorite show, then after a few episodes, it was near lunch time, and Harry decided to whip us up some fried chicken.
"Harry this fried chicken is delicious, thanks for cooking. I told him.
After we finished eating we brushed our teeth and then we started walking to the park. 

When we got to the park me and Harry just took a stroll down through the park, walking past the little lake, until we reached our destination, the obstacle course.

Harry's POV:

When Hermione and I reached the obstacle course, we decided to have a race on the side by side obstacles. First we started off with the rock climbing wall. Where he took  a slight edge, then it was on to the zip line where Hermione caught up. Then it was the balance obstacle where we were still equal, then it was the ropes course which led straight into the monkey bars, I was so concentrated until I saw Hermione fall of the bars in exhaustion. I just finished the last few bars, and went off the course to shake hands with her. Then there was this bully who I stopped last year when Hermione and I became friends.  
"Well, well if isn't the class nerd Hermy Granger." She insulted Hermione.
"Back off I told her."
"Well, Granger it seems like you've found your self a boyfriend."
"I'm not his girlfriend." Hermione responded, I could see a little shade of red in her cheeks. 
"Stop it, lets go home Hermione." said in an angry voice.
When we got home, Hermione cried on my shoulder.
"Harry why do I have to get bullied because I'm smart." She cried.
"It's ok Mione stop crying, and don't mind them." I told her.
"What did you just call me?" She asked.
"Mione" I said.

Hermione's POV:

"I kinda like that name Harry, just don't call me Hermy like my cousin." I said kinda cheering up.
"Don't worry Mione, I won't let anybody hurt you again."
"Thanks Harry." I said, kissing his cheek and hugging him.
I could see a shade of red on his cheeks once I kissed him.
"Harry, do you just want to watch a movie?
"Ok." He said.
Since we got home at around 4:30PM we were so tired. So, Harry and I just decided to take a nap on the couch.

Harry's POV:

Me and Hermione were so tired spending an afternoon at the park we just decided to sleep on the couch.  I just lay down one the couch, and slept beside Hermione.

3rd person POV:

When Hermione's parents got home they just saw Harry and Hermione sleeping on the couch.  "Look at those two, cozy on the couch. Should we wake them?" Dan asked.  "Just leave them there Dan."  Emma said.

Hermione's POV:

I woke up near dinner time.  "Hello Hermione, how was your day?" My dad asked.  "It was good dad, me and Harry went to the park, and stayed there the whole afternoon.   Then I decided to wake Harry up.  "Harry, wake up, its almost dinner time.   "Ok" he said.  We had dinner of prime rib steak and vegetables which my mum cooked. After dinner Harry and I watched "The Wizard of Oz."
Harry said "If only magic were real." I said " I think you would be a great wizard if magic existed."  He laughed and then I hugged him saying "Thank you for standing up for me today."  "Your welcome." He said.  Then somebody knocked on the door.  "Who could be knocking on the door so late?" Hermione's mum asked.
"Hello, I am Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts. I am looking for Ms. Granger and Mr. Potter." The old man said.
