Chapter 12

You woke up to your falcon pecking at your face. You sat up and looked around remembering that you had fallen asleep in a tree.

"A tree isn't the first place I'd pick to sleep in."

You turned around and saw Flora hanging onto a nearby branch.

"I know, but it was convenient and I guess I just fell asleep last night."

"Well Wolf is looking for you, he said he has a task for us."

"Alright, let's go then."

You stood up and started moving through the trees until you reached the hut where Wolf had all the equipment stored.

"Alright Wolf, we're here, what's going on?"

"Claw has picked up a signal, it seems the humans have found a Xenomorph egg, this is our chance to take it out before they can spread, I want you, Flora, and Talon to take it out."

"Got it, we'll move out right away."

"I have sent the coordinates to your ship, good hunting."

You nodded and you and Flora met up with Talon outside the clan's borders.

"Where did you disappear to last night Y/N?"

"He fell asleep in a tree."

"Hey! It was comfortable."

"Alright, let's get moving, where's your ship?"

You gestured to your right and started moving. You remotely activated your ship and jumped into it, Flora and Talon sat down and you flew toward the research site that the humans took the egg. After a few minutes you landed a mile away from the site, you cloaked your ship and walked out with your mask.

"Alright, we need to find this egg, we split up and when the egg is destroyed we meet back here."

The three of you put on your mask and separated. When you reached viewing distance of the base you pressed a few buttons on your gauntlet and your falcon flew over the base, it sent back positions of the guards and the potential location of the egg. You started moving toward the site and cloaked, you knew there was no way to do this without killing anyone. You snuck up behind someone and put your hand on their mouth as you stabbed your wrist blade through his back, you hid the body and continued into the facility, after looking through the various rooms and killing various people you came up empty. You opened your gauntlet and contacted the group.

"Any luck with the search?"

"No, but Talon thinks he's close."

"I AM close, the human presence is increased by me."

"Need help?"

"No I can take care of it."

"Alright, but if you need help don't hesitate to alert me or Flora."

"Alright, stand by."

He turned off his communicator leaving you and Flora.

"So how are you doing on your end?"

"Got a few new trophies, I like one of them in particular."

You forgot that Flora loved her trophies more than you and Talon combined.

"I'm taking that as everyone is dead, okay, so far so good, let's hope Talon finishes before anymore guys show up.

"Um we have a problem."

"What?"

"We have a serious problem."

"Out with it already!"
