Tamaki and Mirio were hiding behind a few trees, the sounds of battle around them. A bunch of villains had just tried to bust into the school and the students were defending it.
"Tamaki, go fight! Most of the villains are gone, so you can probably get a few down without getting hurt!" Mirio had a serious look on his face, but he still shot a soft grin at his friend.
"Um.. I-I can't.." He didn't look at Mirio, instead keeping his gaze on the battle around him.
"Why not? I believe in you, I know you can do it! You gotta be more confident in yourself!" He was a bit confused as to why Tamaki couldn't go fight, so he thought that maybe he was just shy about it.
"It's just that.." Tamaki couldn't bring himself to say it. He didn't want to hurt his friend, so he tried to stall for as long as possibly by hesitating.
"You can tell me, it's okay!" Mirio encouraged him gently, not trying to force him but also trying to get him to say it at the same time.
"Well, um-" He was suddenly cut off by a sudden pang of hunger going through his stomach and everything going dark. He passed out and started to fall forwards, but Mirio caught him before he hit the ground.
"Tamaki?? Tamaki?!"

Tamaki awoke sometime later on a bed. As he slowly opened his eyes and adjusted to the light, he could see that he was in the nurses office. He looked around a bit more, but he was shocked to see his best friend sitting next to him with his head in his hands. He tried to sit up, by pushing himself up with his hand, but his arms went weak and he fell back onto the bed. "M-Mir-"
His head shot up, his expression full of worry. "Tamaki! You're awake! It's been hours, I was so worried! The nurse couldn't find anything wrong with you and she could tell it definitely wasn't a quirk that made you pass out.."
"Don't worry about it, I'm fine..." He was the opposite of fine. The room was spinning, and he couldn't even lift himself up going weak.
"You don't look fine. Please, tell me what's wrong.." This was one of the few times Mirio sounded serious.
Tamaki sighed. "Promise.. P-Promise that you won't freak out?"
"I promise!" Mirio happily agreed, glad that he was going to be finally told what was wrong.
"Well.. Um..-" He was again cut off by Recovery Girl walking in.
"Mirio, can I speak with you for a moment?" She asks, her usually smile not on her face and instead replaced with a worried expression.
