Elizabeth Black:

Its been a while since I've had peace and quiet, some me time. ever since my territory found out about my birthmark hey haven't left me alone, they monitor me 24/7. They keep telling me "You need to train. This is a huge opportunity, you can't mess it up" But being the chosen one from my kingdom, you have to train, there is a lot that lies ahead.

It's actually pretty cool being the chosen one sometimes, you aren't given the position though, your born into it, and the day of your eighteen birthday you get your powers. I haven't gotten all of mine yet just telepathy and I can also control the weather with my emotions. Legends say you get five powers, no one ever knows what they are so it's always a surprise.

So here I am, on the grassy hills on the edge of my territory staring at the sky making random shapes with the clouds. It's been a while since I've been this relaxed. More like months, it feels nice, I'm surprised no one has began looking for me yet.

"Princess! Princess!" I got up too see who it was the annoyance clear on my face. Of course like always, I spoke too soon. It was one of the Kingdoms guards.

"Princess, the Prince and the king are look for you. They say that you need to come and begin training" he rushed right after he bowed respectfully.

Yes I was the princess, after my eighteenth birthday when the whole world had found out I was the chosen one from The Royal Kingdom they threw a ball for me at the Castle. That's when Prince Ezekiel found me, he decided I would rule the kingdom next to him as his Wife. I didn't want to marry him and I made that pretty clear by running away several times and not sleeping with him in the same room but he has kept me with him no matter what.

"Ugh! The King and Prince do not control me, tell them, I will become The heir to the throne and the finder of is treasure so the least thing they could do is give me a.... Day off" I batted my eyelashes and used my innocent voice to try and get things my way.

"B-b-b-but ma'am, the king-" he stuttered.

"I REPEAT, THE KING DOES NOT CONTROL ME! I'm already forced to marry someone I do not love and I'm training to find this treasure, so it would be nice to have a day off, is that too much to ask?! Now go!" I yelled at the poor guard, he was only following ordered from the king . This wasn't his fault yet he was getting the blow from me for it.

"Yes Princess, I'll advice the king... You enjoy your day off" he bowed excusing himself before rushing back on his horse that o never noticed was there and began his journey back to the castle where he would possibly get fired for not bringing me back with him.

I began to walk towards the forest, I built a treehouse there when I was younger, I left my guitar and toys there, I think it was about time I bring them back home.

The forest, a peaceful place full of mystical creatures that no one has heard of before. I used to come here with my brother, before they took him. They just took his life away...like it was nothing. He was just a kid, he meant no harm. Nothing has been the same ever since Jayden was murdered, not even my mom. She won't smile like she used to, she doesn't care anymore, she might not admit it, but I know she doesn't. I hope that after this, after I bring the treasure I will make her proud of me, that she'll care, that she will look at me with the same look she would give Jayden everyday.

I got to the treehouse and climbed up the steps, it occasionally creaking from how old it was and how much more heavy I've gotten since I was 4. It hasn't changed a bit, except from the few spots off moss. I pushed the door open with a loud bang which caused me to jump and the birds to fly away with it too.

I felt tears fall down my cheeks as I saw a kite on the floor, the one me and Jayden would always argue over who's turn was it to fly it on the Hills, the one that we built together, the one he flew right before he died.

A smile spread on my lips just remembering several times I cried over and several times Jayden would hug me and kiss me telling me not to cry and handing it over to me.

But those days were over, and the horrible truth was that he wasn't coming back. He was dead. Things change.

I sat there for most of the day before deciding it was time to join the horrid thing I call, my life.
