I go through survival needs in my head. Food. Snacks for the dance I guess if we were really desperate. Same with drinks. Bathroom. Good thing there is a bathroom connected to the gym. Anything else? "We'll be alright guys" I say hoping it's true. "Here's an idea that genius over here didn't think of," Kate rolls her eyes at me. "We all have cell phones don't we?" I pat my jacket pockets. Forgot my cell at home! Dawn and Jake pull out their phones. "no service" they say. Great.

We all sit against the stage. I sigh. Click click. I jerk my head towards the door. It slowly opens and Chris and Max walk in. "STOP!" I scream, they look at me as I jump to my feet and race to the door. Click. The door closes.

I feel steam starting to come out of my ears. (Not really) Chris and Max stare at me, confused. I close my eyes and sigh. Jake walks over to the rest of Dance Committee, and explains what has happened. "Oh well bruh," Chris says "we'll just wait for another person to walk through the door." He grins.

"Ugh, DUH CHRIS." Kate screams. Max adjusts his glasses "the chances of that happening are very slim." He taps his chin and thinks.  Jake runs a hand through his hair. Kate sighs. "I'm not sitting here, in this freaking smelly gym, ALL DAY!" Jake looks at Kate and grumbles something under his breath. "Well do you want to go and magically unlock the door and get us out of here?" He blinks sweetly, with a hint of sarcasm. Maybe more than a hint. I giggle and Kate turns red. "That's what I thought" Jake mumbles.

Chris walks over to me and lays his arm across my shoulder. "So babe," he says to me, so close I can smell the pot in his breath. Ugh stoner. "What you say we go into the bathroom and ya know-" I flick his arm off me and cut him off. "Sure lets go" I say with a fake smile. We walk to the girls bathroom and he walks into the stall. I close the door on his face. "Aw babe, don't be like that!" He mumbles. I smirk to myself and jam the door. I walk out of the bathroom and I can hear Chris from the stall singing Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" and laugh to myself.
