As the Spring flowers were in bloom, an orange fox was rushing off to school... Wonder what's on his mind...
Tails: Shoot, gonna be late for the practice!
Oh yeah, completely forgot it was gonna be the Musical Showcase.
Tails: OK, Narrator, you can stop now. -_-'
Tails POV
Sheesh, talk about hefty sleeping, thanks to oversleeping I'm gonna be late to the band practice! Though thanks to sheer luck, I was able to get into school not a second too soon...
Sonic: Woah, dude, what happened to you?
Tails: Don't ask, overslept... -_-' Anyway, how are you guys holding up?
Sonic: Well, everyone's in the gym currently making the posters for their bands.
Tails: Oh yeah... I knew that.
Said the lair, totally glossing over that we had to make posters! Hey, even I got brainfarts. Anyway, this is Sonic, the first person I bumped into when first making it to this new school, not to mention the guitarist and main male singer of the new band we made.
Anyway, back on track, as soon as we got to the gym, we saw at least... I think 15 groups in the showcase? I kinda lost track since it's been a while.
Amy: Hey Tails, Sonic, over here!
This is my band, I'll go through the members quickly so we can save time on explanation. The pink hedgehog Amy, our main female singer, and a hefty drummer! I tell you, she hits REAL hard. The red echidna, Knuckles, is our main bass, and also a heavy hitter. The orange echidna is Tikal, she plays the tambourine. And for me? I play the keyboard, kinda got used to it when in music class.
Knuckles: Took you long enough pal, slept in?
Tails: I didn't remember OK?! Also, not my fault my mind drifts back to what you guys said yesterday!
Tikal: Listen Tails, we know Cream might be gone... but she might return someday.
Tails: Yeah right... -mumbles- Return someday my ass.
God, I hate when they brought her up because it makes me remember that she left school a year ago! I... I know I can't onto grudges but I painstakingly want her back, more than ever even! I mean, a princess who was a singer fell in love with me. It just feels like torture. There have been girls who've tried to grasp my heart but... Nothing can really change the fact that she's still gone...
I looked over to the Rainbooms, who were another band for the showcase. I know all of them were in for the showcase but... I honestly felt incomplete without Cream. L-Look, I know this might be an insane place to put a song but I might as well tell how I feel...
Look just... I don't know what to say... I wasn't feeling in spirit to do the showcase without her. In the back of my mind, I've always thought she'd return. They wanted ME to be the main male singer for the band but... I honestly don't feel that fire without Cream.
