Chapter 2: Advice From An Awkward Caterpillar

(A/N: Once again, Paca's text will be bolded since he is narrating while making his broadcasts)

"Our dear Alice continues to roam the mysterious forest, for which she had suddenly landed in, searching in vain for an explanation and a way home."

"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LET US OUT! Karin yelled

"Narrators tell the story dear, they don't make the story. That's what you are all here for!"

"Unbelievable.." Karin muttered

"But what our protagonist didn't know was that she was in for quite an adventure!"

"Adventure? Good grief.."

Karin heard the muffles once again.

"I swear, if that damned alpaca is playing tricks on me he won't get to live to see the break of day.. " she muttered irritably.

"Ms. Alice. I do suggest you refrain from making death threats to the narrator, for you will be punished."

"YOU THROW US INTO THIS STORYBOOK AND EXPECT ME TO BE OKAY WITH IT!??"

Karin arrived a few minutes later in a clearing that was surrounded by trees. Perhaps it was the heart of the forest. Karin noticed a giant purple larva sitting on a huge mushroom a few meters away from her. She ran behind a bush for cover.

"-Guess I just have to wait here till she comes then.. it shouldn't be too long.." Karin heard a voice, assuming that it came from the figure, say.

Her heart skipped a beat

Till 'she' comes..? Does that thing knows I'm here..?! What if it's after me?!? I don't remember Alice battling giant bugs in the story!!

Karin peered from the bush to get a look at the figure once more. Suddenly, the larva turned but Karin ducked just in time.

"That's weird... I felt like someone was there.." the larva said to himself.

Karin's heart pounded like thunder

Gahhh!! if only Oshigiri were here..
Karin thought miserably

He'd be stealthy enough to sneak past it..!!

Karin tried to desperately think of a plan to get past the giant but all her mind thought of was the possible dishes she'd be turned into if it caught her.

Karin was about to come up with a plan again when suddenly she felt something tickle her hand. Out of natural reflex, she let out a scream. It turned out to be a leaf that fell from the tree beside her.

For a split second, Karin remembered that she had to stay quiet and brought her hand to her mouth. She prayed that the giant wouldn't notice, which she doubted.

"Bad move! What will happen to our dear Alice!??"

"Don't make me come over there and punch you!" Karin threatened under her breath.

Karin peered from the bush once more to see if the giant was still there, only to have her heart drop to her stomach.

The larva was gone.

"Hey are you okay?" a voice to Karin's right asked. Karin slow turned her head and came face to face with the purple larva. Once again, she screamed and punched the giant with her iron fist.
