I Won't Leave You

Morning Rolls Around

     I opened my eyes and thought about what he told me last night. A wave of fear swept over me and I sat up. I looked over to see him standing over Lilith's crib holding her and gently rocking her. I sighed a sigh of relief. He looked up at me and smiled. I got up and walked past him. As much as I loved him I was still upset. He turned towards me and the smile faded.

     "Please, Aph, can we talk about this," He said walking towards me.

     "No, I'm still mad at you," I said grabbing my clothes.

     "If we talk about this we can go back to normal. Please, I love you, Aph," He said sadly. 

     "Fine, let me get dressed first. Then we'll talk," I said. He looked away and walked over towards the crib. He set Lilith down and I finished changing. I walked up to him and hugged him. I began to cry and he held me tightly.

     "Please, forgive me, Aph," He said stroking my head.

     "I'm sorry I overreacted. I never could live without you. You mean to much to me," I said hugging him.

     "I love you," He kissed me.

     "I love you, too," I said as he let go of me. 

     "Let's go out and act like we're still just two close friends," He said walking towards the door. I smiled and the two of us walked out to see Laurence pacing back and forth. 

     "Are you ok?" Aaron asked looking at him.

     "Be quiet, Mr. Mysterious," Laurence said. Aaron looked at me shocked.

     "Don't talk to him like that," I said glaring at Laurence.

     "Aphmau, can I talk to you," Laurence said grabbing my hands. I nodded as he dragged me off. 

     "What's the problem?" I asked quietly.

     "Aaron, I don't trust him. You're too good of a girl for him. He doesn't deserve you. He doesn't talk to anyone," Laurence said.

     "He is a great guy and he would talk to you guys, but you guys don't try to talk to him. I talk to him all the time and he has been through too much to be treated like some disease. I care about him more than I can express. He's so sweet to me and treats me like a princess. I lo-" I stopped.

     "I love you, Aphmau. There I said it. I've known you so much longer than him. I deserve you so much more than he does," He said kissing my hand.

     "I don't love you. I'm sorry. I love someone else," I said quietly.

     "It's Aaron, isn't it?" Laurence said.

     "No, it actually isn't," I said lying. I was a pretty good liar, so he couldn't tell I was lying.

     "Please, let me do this," He said grabbing me. I squirmed. He kissed me and I pushed him off of me. I ran back to Aaron and hugged him. He bent down and kissed me. I was scared and kept shaking. He rubbed my back and ran his fingers through my hair.

     "What's wrong?" He asked gently.

     "He kissed me," I said quietly. He looked angry.

     "I can't believe he'd do that," Aaron said upset.

     "Please, don't do anything," I said quietly. He calmed down and just hugged me. 

     "I need to do some stuff. I'll be back," I said calming down.

     "Ok, let me know if you need anything," He said as he let go of me. I nodded and walked over to Zoey's house. I knocked on the door and she opened it. She hugged me and invited me in.

     "You seem nervous," She said raising an eyebrow.

     "I have some news and I don't know how everyone will react," I said awkwardly.

     "Have you asked Aaron? Normally you go to him for these types of things," She said confused.

     "That's the thing. I don't know how he'll react," I said.

     "What's the news?" She asked smirking.

     "I-I'm pregnant," I said quietly.

     "You're kidding," She said, her jaw basically on the floor. I shook my head.

     "Wow, how long have you known?" She asked still shocked.

     "I've known a week. How do I tell him? Should I wait and see when he'll notice?" I asked.

     "You just need to wait until Aaron and you are in a deep conversation. If you two really love each other you have many deep conversations," She said smiling.

     "Trust me, we have tons. I love him so much. He's so sweet to me," I said smiling. She smiled and we talked about him for hours until Aaron knocked on the door. Zoey opened it and let him in. He hugged me and started talking.

     "I'm sorry to interrupt, but we are going to Hyria's place to discus some things about that relic," Aaron said. That's when I remembered the relic we found. Not Irene's relic. Recently Aaron had confessed to his line of family contained Shad's relic. He realized he no longer could feel it in him. He ended up telling everyone and they all decided to help him. Apparently we were going to go to Hyria's place to see what was wrong. I knew what was wrong. Whatever. I'm sure I'd get the chance to tell him before that.

     "Who's coming and when are we leaving?" I asked.

     "Laurence, Zoey, Lucinda, you, and I. We're leaving tomorrow morning. Isabelle will take care of Lilith for us," He said smiling. I nodded and went up to him. I hugged him and he smiled. He rubbed my back. I smiled and nodded. He left and Zoey and I kept talking.
