Hey guys, if you haven't heard the news, Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, died in a helicopter crash to one of her games today.
Kobe Bryant was one and still is by favorite basketball player. He is one of the reasons why I watch basketball and want to be a great player like him. Growing up as a kid, he inspired me too want to try and recreate his moves. But not did he not only inspire me, he also inspired my brother and all other basketball players, youth and already in the NBA.
His news of his death is hard to take in. It is also hard to know that his daughter was only the same age as me(13) and had to die the same as her father. It is also hard to know his newborn daughter and 3 year old daughter have to grow up without their dad and older sister.
It is also hard for his wife, Vanessa, to have to raise her 3 daughters on her own as a single parent and mom with the guilt each day to know that your husband and daughter, who is your own flesh and blood, is no longer with you. Living in the same house, breathing, living life, going on trips, and every step you take and picture you see in rooms, bringing tears to your eyes wishing and praying that they aren't dead.
All my heartfelt condolences go to Vanessa, his kids, his family and friends that you will get better. Thinking about his death makes me cry, I may have not met him, but it felt like a did. He was a great man like every great other celebrity that died:
