Komaru's POV
It started out as a normal day, well of course not a 'normal day' nothing was normal in this world we are living in. What a normal day would be in this world would be like a whole anime to you. But don't let me sidetrack myself. What felt like a normal day in this crazy world, would actually be the most despair filled day of my life. Even worse than my first day out of my apartment. Why? Because now I don't have toko. At least when I was thrown into
This hell
I had someone... but now i was all alone. No hope, no faith, no trust. Just despair and now I can't go on anymore.

Earlier that day~

Third person POV;

"Toko!! Tokooooooo!!~" Komaru whined playfully while shaking around the purple haired girl. Toko groaned in annoyance as the  hyper girl shook her trying to take her away from her slumber.  A playful smirk drew across Komaru's lips as she leant down and pecked Toko on her cheek. Almost instantly Toko jumped up , her cheeks tinted a light pink and she looked at komaru In embarrassment. "K-k-komaru what was!-" before the flustered girl could finish, komaru got out of  the bed. "I dunno! I just felt like it! And besides you wouldn't get up what else was I supposed to do?" She giggled playfully. " come one now, we have stuff to do today. Let's get out of this dump and get to work." She said as she grabbed her microphone off of the bed stand and walked out of the room. Leaving behind a flustered Toko.
Shortly after they left the place, they were ambushed by monokuma's. However this was no problem for them. They have been defending themselves from monokumas for a full year now, and it was a normal thing at this point. It's scary how much humans can adapt. However something they weren't expecting was gonna go down today and neither of them were ready for it. *Crumble Crumble* After all the monokuma's were down *Crumble Crumble*  toko and komaru tried to move on  , Komaru being a little behind toko and then... *CRASH* the sealing of the run down building they were in collapsed. "T-TOKO!" komaru cried out to the writer as the ruble of the sealing fell on her, causing the purple haired girl to collapse. Then more pieces of ruble fell on top of her, and to make things even worse, Komaru couldn't do anything because she was stuck under a piece of rock herself. More rocks started to fall on top of komaru, and she was starting to lose sight of toko. And the ability to breath, and she just stood their helplessly  as the sealing pieces started to decrease in size. Then finally after a hot minute it stopped. It was over... but the despair wasn't. Komaru gasped for air desperately , clawing at the pieces of rock to pry herself out from the sealing pieces she was stuck under. She was getting weaker by the second, it was getting harder and harder to breath. She wanted to give up but she had to get out... What would toko do without her? Was toko even okay? She had to save toko before it was to late. And to her luck, with one final pull she was able to pull herself out from the ruble. She immediately gasped for air, and clung to a nearby rock , breathing heavily. "T-toko..." she said in between breaths, and then slowly stood up from the rock. Komaru limped weakly over the rocks that blocked her view of Toko, and slowly made her way over to the writer... but did she really wanna see toko in the state she was in right now?

Komaru's POV:
I groaned in pain as I struggled to let myself breath for a second. I couldn't think clearly, my waist which has gotten crushed by rubble was in burning pain. It felt like someone stabbed me there 10 times and all the adrenaline was really getting to me. I'm just a normal girl, why do I have to go through all of this? But that didn't matter. None of this mattered all that mattered was that toko was okay. And so, I pushed through all of the pain and finally I pushed forward enough to see... "T-toko?" The violet pink liquid flowed smoothly down the rocks surrounding her. The horrifying sight before me didn't seem real. No. This had to be a nightmare. "T-TOKO!!" I cried out and quickly limped over to her. I shook her gently. Once. I shook her again. Twice. And then I shook her a third time. And she opened her eyes. My eyes widened and I smiled with joy. She was gonna be okay right?! "T-toko! Just stay with me for a little longer! Please I'll get you out of here I!!-" "Shhhhh." I was interrupted by genocider syo's harsh voice. "Shush dekomaru you already know it's to late for me. " her red eye's flared softly at me and a smile played across her lips. "N-no... toko! What are you talking about? You're gonna be fine! J-just let me get you out of here first.." I said and began to tug at the rubble crushing her body. But it wouldn't budge. "Stop it now dekomaru it's fine. Both me , and other me have accepted our fates. I know because we feel the same way. And also, I know something else~ Other me has a little crush on you! Surprising right? I thought her type was pretty boys~ not 'average girls' like you!" She laughed trying to lighten up the mood. The despair I felt only grew bigger. "N-no.. no.. NO!! T-toko please! Stop talking like that!!" I cried out while tugging harder at the rocks. I was starting to get mixed in with the puddles of violet colored blood. It staining my white uniform. Toko flinched at me struggling. "D-Dekomaru... please.. stop. " she said as she started to close her eyes. "T-TOKO!! NO! PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME! YOU'RE ONE OF THE ONLY PEOPLE I HAVE! Y-YOUR MY BESTFRIEND!! AND IM NOT READY TO LOSE YOU!" I cried and tugged harder on the piles of rock. "I... I-" the red color faded out of Tokos eyes. They returned to her normal lavender color. "I love you... Komaru" she smiled weakly before the life left her eyes. And she feel completely numb right in front of my face. "T-TOKO!!" Tears streamed down my face and I shook her once again. "WAKE UP! WAKE UP PLEASE!!" I shook her harder as my hands began to shake. My vision grew blurry, and finally I passed out from shock and exhaustion. I wish I never woke up again.

A few hours later

I flinched as I awoke from my slumber and instantly sat up. I was sweating intensely and I had an extremely painful headache. I groaned in pain and rubbed my head... it seems like I passed out in some run down place. But why? This isn't where me and toko stay and even if so where's?- My eyes dotted right to the sight in front of me. And I remembered everything. Why I passed out, why I was here, and where toko was. Toko was no more. The love of my life was gone. And I'll never be the same again. I don't wanna be the same again. I don't wanna be here. I cant do this. I can't go on. How will I go on? How can I live without toko? She made me feel sane. In a crazy world like this she was the only relief I had. The only reason I kept going. And what do I have now? Nothing I have nothing just despair my hope is gone. Komaru naegi is gone. There's no komaru without toko. I'm just a normal girl, untalented , unreliable and useless. If I was special I would have been able to save toko.

I don't want to be here anymore.

I cant go on without toko.

What do I do?

There's only one answer.

I picked up a large piece of rubble , and slammed my head against it. Then I did it once more, only one more time... and then...

"KOMARU WAIT!" A familiar voice called out. It was my brother makoto naegi. Oh that's right, me and toko we're running an errand for him. I guess he got worried... "DON'T!" He ran over and took the rock away from me. Then pulled me into a bear hug. "I know I know..." he glanced at toko's corpse and flinched then quickly looked away. "Things will never be the same... I know... but would toko really want you to do that...? "

I flinched... he's right... toko would want me to live. She would want me to save the world. She'd want me to keep pushing. That's my purpose. I'll carry on her legacy, no matter what it takes. I swear. I'll make sure I make it out alive. Not for myself but for toko. And that's a fact.
