Fuck you, school. I wish you were dead. Go get flooded or something.
Okay...I'm angry. At life.
People fuck things up sometimes. Especially boys.

Enough said.

I watched in awe as Squirrel Guy's ears and whiskers receded, melting into his skin. The fur on his hands and neck disappeared, leaving him looking fresh and incredibly... human.

It was as if he'd never been half squirrel at all.

I continued to stare at him for a few seconds, before spinning round to Peter.
He looked unfazed, as if animals turning into boys was a regular occurrence.

He turned to Seth. "So, what did you catch?"

Seth's face lit up as he excitedly related his adventure to Peter.

Peter nodded and congratulated him, turning to face me.

"Seth just caught us dinner," he explained.

"We're in for a treat tonight."

I swallowed uncomfortably.

"Right. And that is?"

"Roast Jabberwocky and wild Penludas," Seth announced proudly.

I stared at him in confusion.

"What the hell is that?"

Seth looked at me as if I was from another planet, and even Peter looked surprised.

"You know, a Jabberwocky? The bird? And Penludas - one of the rarest fruits in Neverland? You must have heard of them before."

There it was, that word again.

Neverland.

I still didn't believe it.

"I don't think I have. But then again, one tends to overlook non-existent creatures when it comes to dinner, don't you think?"

A hurt look flashed across Seth's face.

"I'm telling the truth. You know I am. This isn't funny," he snapped.

"No. I'll tell you what's not funny. This whole fairy prank that you guys are playing! I'm not stupid. Or useless-"

I could've sworn Peter winced.

"And I won't let you treat me like I am. I'm through with you and your stupid little games. I don't care who you are. You can go to hell, the lot of you."

I stalked past Seth's shocked face, heading straight for the door and fully intending to leave this time. I didn't even get seven steps.

Yes, I counted.

Peter grabbed my arm, spinning me round and shaking me roughly. Something in his expression scared me; his eyes had taken on a glint that stirred an uneasy feeling in my gut.

"You still think we're making this up? Then let me show you something that will change your mind."

His hands slid around my waist, making me jump and squeak in surprise.

"Peter," I said nervously, panic rising in my chest as he pulled me closer.

"What are you-" my words were swallowed by a scream as Peter hoisted me up in his arms, nodded to Seth once and sprung up, into the dark space above.
