"Daaaadd....." The young boy sang.

"What, Noah?" His father grumbled, he was allowed to grumble it was eight fourty in the morning and he had only an hour and a half worth of sleep.

Blame the baby.

"It's snowing." Noah replied. When his father looked up with sleepy eyes whilst glaring-but-not-quite-glaring at his son but instantly softened it when he laid eyes upon a set of hazel with gorgeous specs of blue he both inherited from both his mother and father.

"No."

"Niklaus, don't." The voice said from underneath the covers.

"What, I am not going to give in.... Again." Klaus said, slightly raising his voice.

"You always give in, now go and play in the snow like a good boy." The boy's mother, Megan also Klaus' dearest wife, said as she rose from under.

'I do not' Klaus' inner monologue fought back.

Then....

He thought again. One time before Megan was pregnant with Baby Hope it was a family day out for Noah's fourth birthday and it was at the oh so famous Treasure Island and there was a ride and poor Noah wasn't at the required height. Noah begged and pleaded with blood, he purposely fell over and scraped his knees, sweat and tears. Klaus caved in. And cleverly hid the boy under his sweater which looked like he gained weight in all the wrong places. The checkers didn't seem to care enough to notice.

He may have been licked and kissed on Noah's part and maybe some "good boy" sex on Megan's.

"Daaaaaddd."

"Alright, alright. Put on your wellies and snowsuit and gloves and everything."

"Yeeessssss. Thank you Dad."

"1...2...3..."

The boy screamed in glee.

"4...5...6...7."

"No, Dad. Pleaseeee."

"8...9...10...11."

The boy dashed off to hide in the forest behind the house. He searched every to find the perfect spot.

Aah he found it. He climbed in below the fallen tree. He could his father finishing the counting.

Not long after that he heard a snap. He's small heart racing. He covered his mouth with his hand to quiet his breathing.

He only just blinked for a few seconds before he came face to face with a pair of blue eyes.

"Well, well, what do we have here?"

Noah didn't hear much after that. Only the sound of his own high pitched scream filled his ear drums. Before he could even try to get away, hands gripped his waist. These hands didn't belong to his Daddy. He opened his eyes to find a woman with blue eyes and long blonde hair.

"AUNTIE NI-..." The boy screamed just before his aun placed her hands over his mouth.

He looked puzzled.

"Now, now. We have to hide so be quiet, hurry follow me." Nia said.

They ran through the forest only to come face to face with Klaus.

"Hello, Nik. Can't stay. Gotta dash." Nia said to her to her best friends husband. They ran again.

They eventually found a large enough tree to hide them both.

Nia had hold of Noah tightly. Both of them panting heavily.

"Gotcha!" They both screamed loudly.

"Mum.. Mum. Mummy. Look who came to visit."

Megan peeked out from the kitchen doorway to see who came to visit.

"Nia?" She asked. Before she could even breathe Nia hugged her tight. They had been best friends for years. Since school. Megan was the one to introduce her to Elijah at a New Year's Day Party. They shared their own first kiss when the ball dropped which only was three years ago and now they have a bouncing baby boy.

"Where's baby Logan?" Noah asked.

"Oh, he's going at home but will be here by tomorrow morning with Uncle Elijah." She replied.

***

By the next morning Nia woke up to a baby gurgling, she opened her eyes to see her baby and her husband.

"What a nice way to wake up." She said as she went over to kiss her baby's forehead then her husband.

"Good morning, sweetheart." Elijah had said, before he kissed her back. The baby gurgled.

He needs feeding.

By lunchtime the snow has now starting to turn icy but enough to still be able have fun.

It was Elijah's turn to baby sit Logan and Hope as he had sprained his ankle was walking down the icy path in front of the house. He had to clear the snow for it to be safe for anyone and everyone.

Megan wanted to play in the snow so she begged Klaus the same way their son had begged him.

And so they played in the snow.

Later on that evening the men had set up a bonfire. The trees were covered in snow and frost which had made the skinny branches glisten in the moonlight, like silver coloured

Everyone was wrapped in warm clothing sitting closely around the fire. Klaus had put babies in bed but by the time he came back out he had packets of marshmallows, chocolate covered biscuits, and some wooden skewers.

Everyone took a few of each; some made s'mores, others roasted the marshmallows, some even caught fire; food and people.

Comments and laughs were shared throughout the night.
It was.. Fun.

Once Noah was in bed the adults drank and toasted to the stars and the sky.

"Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year." They all cheered.
