Laugher and lights as well as the faint smell of booze soured through the streets of New York, it was New years after all and Clarissa Salvatore was in the middle of it all. Bars were filled with rich drunk people while the streets were crowded with people who, couldn't afford the experience drinks but still managed to somehow get the most alcoholic drinks.Clarissa was never the type of girl to engage with people she never knew, it wasn't that she wasn't a people person, she was just afraid to get close to anyone, afraid that they would figure out what she was.
Humming a song that she heard from bar a couple of streets back, Clarissa came to a stop. The brunette took in her surroundings, she stood in the center of a town, smiling she walked to a bench, enjoying the cool air as it wrapped itself around her like a blanket.
A ways away a man with blonde man stands next to a burnette man, the elder watches as the blonde vampire feeds on a woman. "Niklaus please, it's the new year, at least wait a day or two." Niklaus drops the woman, her body hitting the ground, any normal person world have just thought she had to much to drink, but the girl on the bench knew better.
Niklaus just ignored his brother while looking for his next victim, his eyes landing on the teenage girl who sat alone on a bench. He took notice in how her dress seemed slightly tattered and how her shoes were worn, but other than that she seemed flawless. "She's a child." Elijah, the dark hair man, spoke out as if his brother had finally lost his mind. "I know that brother, something is off." Niklaus began to speak but trailed off as the brothers heard someone approach them, it being a man way to drunk to even think.
Elijah turns his attention back to the bench only to find out that it's been vacated. Curiosity and confusion pumped through him as he walks to the bench, his brother following behind him. "That's odd, she should have made a noise when moving." Elijah thought outloud causing Niklaus to join him byside, both brothers looking at the seat like it held the question.
To a nornal human they wouldn't be able to hear a muffled scream, but the two brothers were far from normal. Turing their attention to the sound, they race to an alleyway, to find the young girl being pressed up against the wall, while four men surround her. Normally the immortal brothers wouldn't have frozen up, but the sight was something they weren't prepared for. One of the men had the girls mouth muffled as the other rips the dress, the other two shedding off their clothes.
Clarissa closes her eyes tightly, tears going down her face as she tries to gain some sort of control over her abilities, praying to whoever just to help. That's when she felt a pressure come off her, the man who had ripped her dress was held against the other side of the wall as the one who was muffling her laid on the ground with a broken hand. Looking to the two men who gave off massive amounts of power she took notice how rage rolled off of them.
The dark haired man approached the two who were half naked, shoving them with such force that they broke several ribs. Clarissa's eyes darted to the man, her eyes filling with fear and desperation. "I can't control it." She says quietly, only the two immortals hear it. Elijah takes off his coat and wraps it around the freezing girl, being careful to keep some distance in order not to frighten her. "Then let it out." Niklaus whispered as he drops the man to the ground, earning a groan from him.
That's what the young girl did, closing her eyes she felt the familiar tingley feeling of the veins under her eyes as the blood rushed to her normal blue eyes, turning them a redish gold color. Both brothers were immediately taken back as they watched the girl grab one of men, black veins appear on her arm as she bites into the mans neck, killing him instantly.
Niklaus would have thought that watching the young girl kill these men would have been something he would enjoy seeing, but at the moment he was concerned as to why this innocent girl refused to hurt the men who were going to defy her, why did she refuse to kill them?
Elijah stood next to Niklaus, both watching as the young girl fed on the last man before turning back into the girl who stood infront of them scared. Elijah was the first to speak as Clarissa snuggled into the jacket. "Miss, I would feel much better if you came with us." Looking at the men she felt a connection to them, like she was being pulled by a magnet, something was telling her that she would be safe. "I don't want to be alone anymore." She shakily replies as she walks closer to them, Niklaus smiles as he looks at her, his hand raised a bit to touch her, but only doing so if she would allow him to.
After nodding her head Niklaus buttons the coat, making sure she wouldn't freeze in January cold. "I'm Niklaus, this is my brother Elijah. We will take care of you." Niklaus spoke with kindness, a kindness that Elijah hadn't heard in forever, Clarissa turns to the older man as he nods. "I give you my word, miss?" Smiling at the two men who saved her she respond with.
"Clarissa Salvatore." As Niklaus fixes the coat a bit more he makes a promise to her. "You will never be alone again." A promise was made that cold January night as snow began to fall.
