Titan

Time crept by as the night grew colder. The moon hung high in the sky, illuminating the desolate street with pale moonlight. The mysterious stranger rounded the corner of the shop from where he heard the noises before. They had ceased, much to his dismay. If there was someone around here, he needed to find them and help in any way possible, that was his duty as a titan and as a guardian. Even without his light, he stood strong to protect the ones who couldn't. At least... he tried his best. His refugee camp had been raided by Red Legion soldiers only a few days back. He fought as hard as he could, but without his light to aid him, he was overpowered. Unfortunately, the titan was the only one to survive the attack. He stayed alive only by the light left in his ghost, but there was no more to give. If only the same could be said for his fellow survivors. The titan took solace in the hopes that they no longer had to suffer, hopefully at rest in a better place. He did not escape unscathed, for his ghost could only keep him alive enough to survive. His leg was broken and his ribs fractured, and there was nothing his ghost could do besides watch their guardian struggle with the pain. He limped down the dusty, debris ridden pathway to the last place he heard the noise coming from. An old ramen shop? Well....what was left of it.

"Hello! Anyone around!" He yelled out into the darkness of the inside of the shop. The force of his own voice caused him to wince in pain and hold his side. In the dirt he noticed something strange, something that looked almost like...a helmet? He slowly bent down, hand still holding his hurt side, and with a pained groan, managed to get closer to the object. It was a helmet! Why would there be a helmet out here like this, he wondered. This was not just any helmet, he noticed. The large horns and almost geometrical deer skull were a dead giveaway, this was a warlock helmet! He looked around the area of any sign of the owner of this helmet. He picked it up by the left horn and struggled to his feet. He looked back to the ramen shop, and then around the area. Perhaps....

He pulled his ghost, the poor thing beaten and battered almost beyond recognition. The faintest spark of light glimmered from its center eye.

"hey buddy...." The titan whispered. "think you've it in you to do a life scan, just of this immediate area?"

"m....m..mmay..be" the ghost sputtered. The ghost slowly opened itself to run the scan, struggling to keep itself together. The titan knew this was strenuous for his ghost, so he only planned to keep it up a second. The scanning radar beeped as the hand went round and round. There was a small, faint blip on the radar, only barely there. The titan perked up, looking over to the direction of the small blip. The ramen shop. He took note, and allowed his ghost to return to its rest.

"Hello! Hello?" He yelled again, this time directly facing the shop. No answer. It was time to do something, titan! He made his way over to the counter of the shop and leaned over to get a better angle of the disheveled inside. Hm...nothing? He listened close, turning his hearing all the way up, but only heard the harsh wind. There was on odd smell in the air, however. Almost sweet? Like flower petals. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye. he spots some boots sticking out from underneath a piece of low hanging wall debris. Following the boots up into the darkness under the downed wall, he can see what looks like a body. The radar said there were life signs, this person had to be alive! He yells again for the stranger, and once again no response.

He prepares himself. One...and two...and AH! He makes an attempt to hop over the counter, only getting halfway up. Thankfully he is up enough to be able to pull his weight over the counter to flop onto the other side. He lands on his good leg, but his other is barely hanging on. Now on his feet, he is almost brought to tears from the searing pain in his leg, but he powers through. He limps over to the body, every step becoming harder to bear. Before he can reach the person, he collapses, his armor hitting the ground with quite the thud. This thud was enough to evoke some movement from the figure under the debris. Startled movement, at that. The boots scramble to get fully up under the wall.

"H...hey, hey! Don't be afraid! Its okay!" The titan calls, the pain obvious in his voice. He turns on his side, holding his sides with both arms. He coughs, and it only causes more pain. His breathing was beginning to strain, causing him to become lightheaded. He cant focus on this person anymore, he cant think straight because of the pain. His vision slowly shuts off, the world around him becoming blurry and dark. A second before his mind slips off, he can see some sort of figure hovering over him. He tries to say something, but his words simply come out as gurgles. His mind rests, and the night once again returns to silence.
