"Come on, Jen, you have to get a dress,” Kai dragged an unwilling Jennie into the store with racks unpon racks of dresses, from long to short.
“I have on,” Jennie insisted.
“You have one dress that you’ve worn to every occasion since the seventh grade. Come on, this is the victory dance. You’ll probably even be nominated for princess,” Rose pointed out.
Jennie groaned. “If you guys nominated me, I swear-”
“We nominated Lisa,” Jisoo butted in, and Kai and Rose both hit her on the arm. “What?! I didn’t think that was supposed to be a secret!”
Rose rolled her. “The point is, you’re a star now. You need to look like one, and that old red dress you have isn’t going to cut it.”
“Speaking of Lisa, why didn;t you guys invite her to come?” Jennie asked curiously. Now that they were all friends, it seemed strange that their outing didn’t include Jennie’s now-girlfriend. “She told me she needed a dress to.”
Jisoo laughed. “We already went shopping with her. You said you didn’t want to go.”
“Oh, right…” Jennie remembered the event.
“Enough talking,” Kai threw a couple of dresses at Jennie. “Go try these on.”
Jennie tried on what seemed like thousands of dresses. She tried long ones that swept the floor when she moved; she wore tight ones that just barely covered her bottom region. She tried pink, yellow, purple, red and blue dresses. There was no ‘oh my gosh, that has to be the one’ moment, like in the movies. Kai and the three girls mused over several options for an entire hour, until Jennie grew impatient and forced them to chose one.
In the end, she chose a short black dress. “That’s definitely good,” Rose said as Jennie made her purchase. (A/N: Not really good with description, but you’ll see what she looks like later 😉.)
That night, Jennie called Lisa.
“How was your dress expedition?” Lisa laughed after they greeted each other.
“Did everyone know about this except me?” Jennie complained. “It was fine. Boring, but I got a dress.”
“What color?” Lisa asked eagerly.
Jennie rolled over on her stomach. “What have you caught the dress bug, too?” She laughed. “It’s balck.”
“Oooh,” Lisa breathed. “It’ll look good next to my pink one.”
“Who said I'm taking you?” Jennie jokes.
“I did.”
Jennie smiled to herself. “I’m tired. I’ll see you in school tomorrow, alright?”
“Okay. Goodbye, Nini.”

“Okay, no PDA while we’re eating,” Jisoo faked disgust as she sat at the table that Lisa and Jennie were sitting at. Their mouths were tangled together, as were their hands, but quickly broke apart at the sound of Jisoo’s voice.
“Sorry,” Jennie’s mouth turned up sheepishly, and she could see Lisa’s cheeks turn a shade of red.
Jisoo waved her hand. “At least now I have my appetite back,” she jokes, biting into her chicken. “Ready for the nominations?”
“If i’m nominated, I’m dropping out,” Jennie vowed.
“No!” Lisa gasped, grabbing Jennie’s arm. “You can’t, it’s an honor.” Kai dropped her tray onto the table. “What’s going on?” She asked.
