We were finally let in the classroom after what seemed like an eternity. Me and Kibi scurried over to our usual seats before they were taken. Adaiko Tsuneo, another guy and friend in our form, decided to sit opposite us.

"Hey girls" He said in a cheery tone.

"Sounds like you got up on the wrong side of the bed" I teased as I gently poked his arm

"More like the right side of the wrong bed" He blushed as he looked away, Kibi quietly giggled as I gagged in disgust.

"Sorry, nothing personal, it's a natural reflex." I shrugged.

"Okay everyone, settle down!" Our form tutor shouted above the rest of the chattering.

"Now I understand that you want to talk about the holidays and have a catch-up, which is perfectly fine, but first I'm coming around with your new schedules!" She said excitedly

"Oh goody, what next? New uniform?" Kibi whispered in a very sarcastic tone as she rolled her eyes. A few schedules were handed out and then along came Kibi's; she didn't look too impressed, but to be honest, that's nothing to go by, Kibi isn't impressed by anything if it involves school or schedules.

There was a long intermission before Adaiko received his, and for once he looked happy with the piece of paper in his hands.

"What are you so chuffed about?" Kibi said as she carelessly tossed her schedule onto the desk.

"I've practically got the same rooms and teachers as last year, only a few have changed, woohoo!" He cheered insensitively. Kibi jokingly slapped his arm in response.

"Oh gosh" I mumbled as the teacher approached me with the schedule. Nervously, I took the fragile piece of paper delicately and scanned it briefly with my eyes.

"So... what's your's like?" Kibi curiously inquired as she quickly snatched it from my hands and replaced it with hers.

"I haven't even looked at it properly-" I paused due to noticing Kibi's unconcerned expression.

"Wow, you're doing pretty okay." Kibi said, looking rather shocked, I raised an eyebrow and gave her an unconvinced smirk.

"I wish I could say the same for you."

Kibi huffed and puffed on annoyance with her new schedule, she passed mine back to me as well, and this time I went through it properly; Kibi shared her highlighters between us so we could colour-code our schedules, meanwhile, I was still looking at my schedule, I wanted to see when my first History lesson was since it was my favourite subject.

I found it; I gulped at the sight of what room I was in and when. Room forty-three. Next.

"You good?" Adaiko grinned at my wide-eyed expression while trying not to laugh.

"Y-yes! Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I smiled back unconvincingly, the jewels of sweat started to form on my head. Kibi gave me a curious look, and was about to say something when our teacher suddenly called for us to go to our next lesson. I waited for Kibi while she packed all her highlighters away.

"So... what are you so horrified about?" Kibi questioned with a suspicious look on her face.

"Nothing! It's just..."

"Just what?"

"Oh it doesn't matter." I dismissed the conversation and started walking away, Kibi quickly came after me.

"What is up with you?" she started to get impatient "You've been acting weird ever since the last 10 minutes of intermission!"

"I have not!" I snapped back, I knew that was slightly uncalled for but I don't want to deal with Kibi's toddler-like attitude at this time of the morning with what I'm going to now. She looked at me with another suspicious expression.

"Explain everything at break. That's one thing I've always hated about you, you know. You're so good at lying and keeping things quiet."

I look at her, slightly offended. "You say that like it's a good thing."

"Well sometimes it can be." She shrugged as she laughed sarcastically. I shake my head, we part ways and I arrive to my new history room. I inhaled as much air as I could and didn't exhale for a while, because I could feel my head beginning to throb.

The only familiar thing about this was my class because I was still with the same one I was with last year, and to a point, that can be good, because Adaiko is in my class, along with a few other people that I was civil with, but on the other hand, I have one of the very girls I overheard early in my class.

Her name is Tamikiko Okano, and there she stood, with her unnatural red locks, disgustingly short skirt, piling on make-up to put the slutty cherry on top of the cake. I facepalmed myself in revulsion,  I felt awful for the poor guy that had our class, I could only pray for him at this point.
