Sakusas pov

My mind was all over the place, we were losing. The set was almost over and this was the one i needed to win. Maybe it was a bad day? Maybe it was because my mind wasn't focused on the game? Maybe it was because y/n wasn't here. She was away , on a trip with the school. As much as y/n wanted to attend, she couldn't as this counted for a part of her grade- so she couldn't miss it.

Get over it Sakusa. Focus. I kept telling myself, but my brain couldn't compute the message. Before y/n and i went out, she'd always be there in the crowd. Cheering me on , making me want to win. Just so i could see the smile on her face at the end of it, but she wasn't here now.

Your pov

Sprinting across the courtyard , you ran as fast as you possibly could. The game was almost over, but you needed to see your boyfriend play- you needed to be there for support. Bursting through the doors, you ran up to your usual spot to spectate the match. Sakusa seemed so focused on the match, it seemed as though he didn't notice you walk in (despite your rather dramatic entrance). Your eyes followed him everywhere , hoping that maybe if he felt his stare on you he'd realise you were there. BANG. The opposing team had scored again , you could see Sakusas usually cool and calm demeanour begin to drop. Seeing him begin to panic like this made you worry.

Sakusas pov

Shit, they scored again.

'Hey. Look.' I looked to Komori, he was pointing to the crowd. Could it be?

It was.

'YOU CAN DO THIS, GO SAKUSA!' She shouted from the stands , for someone so small she did make a lot of noise. Something inside of me lit up, her cheers instantly triggered some reaction within me. Instantly, I smiled back at her. 'I've got this.' I said to myself. I'd never struck myself the type to have been so swayed by love - yet here i was now. It was bizarre, from there on out my spikes were perfect. Every attempt to concede a point worked, it turned around in our favour- since y/n came.

Your pov

The match was finally over, you let out a huge sigh of relief. The matches were so intense, sometimes you had to cover your eyes and ears too block out all senses. Looking at the victorious itachiyama team made you feel elated, they thought they were going to lose- but they managed to take back the sets! Each team mates face was beaming , but one stood out to you in particular. The one staring back at yours , Sakusa.

Exiting the seating area, you went through the corridor to find your boyfriend.

There he stood , a few metres away from you.

Sprinting towards him, you practically leapt into his arms.

Sakusas pov

Seeing her made the butterfly's in my stomach do complete laps, she ran towards me at full speed into my arms. I wrapped my arms around her, squeezing her tightly.

'I thought you couldn't make it?' I asked, 'Not that I'm complaining.' I laughed. 'We managed to get back early, you should've seen me. I don't think i'd ever ran as fast in my life to reach the sports hall.' She giggled , still semi out of breath from her sprint before. Her e/c stared into me, 'I love you.' She said smiling.

'I love you too.'

'Now hurry and get changed so we can go home and cuddle.' She pouted. I laughed back at what she said, 'Hmm okay.'

Extra ~ When you got home :

'I can't believe you guys were losing as well!' Y/n chan exclaimed, 'It was like when i turned up, you just magically transformed back to your usual self.'

'Yeah it just felt weird , you not being there to support me.'

'Awe did you miss meeee.' She teased, 'wait till i tell the others.' She chuckled.

My cheeks heated up , 'Whatever.' I replied, kissing her forehead and holding her closer.

'Awe Sakusa , you're so cute when you want to be.' Y/n chan grinned.
