"byn! byn! byn!" caden shouted once he reached the airport door

"considering you're twenty two, i thought you'd stop calling my that by now" corbyn replied rolling his eyes

"considering you're forty, i thought you would of kicked my ass by now"

"oh shut up, where's your mom?" corb asked

"oh shut up, where's your wife? oh right, you don't have one"

the boys and caden's relationships have always been snarky and sarcastic since they can all remember

"caden! i'm right here" christina pushed him

"and i love you very much so" he smiled hugging her

"corby" ryder came up to the three

"you ready to fly?" he asked

"nope, can you make sure my headphones are right please?"

"most certainly" corbyn took them off from around his neck

"for god sake zach" jack said to his best friend as he was taking ages to come out of the car "they're waiting for us"

"and by them you literally mean corbyn and christina" zach rolled his eyes "look not even daniel and jonah are organised" he pointed to the two grown men who were galavanting around with their suitcases

"and it wouldn't surprise me if kenna and tate were complaining" jack handed gabbie her suitcase

"thank you" she said walking to the others

jack waited patiently for a few more minutes "and somehow were still the last two to reach the group"

"well then are we all ready for our annual holiday?" jonah asked the eighteen of them; daniel, jack, zach, corbyn, kenna, gabbie, christina, tate, caden, aj, ollie, ryder, nova, edith, annabelle, lavender, oscar and lilly.

as they all walked towards the baggage area kenna slowly stopped ryder, she pointed to her lips signalling she wanted him to read her lips. he already had his headphones on and there's no way he's willing to take them off now you can hear all the noise

"i know this is scary and you don't like the airport" he nodded "but it won't be long. i want you to hold my hand and squeeze it like you usually do when you're anxious"

ryder quickly took his moms hand squeezing it to show her that he understood. with that they carried on walking slightly behind as the rather large group made a lot of noise from their excitement

mackenna always thought it was truly heartbreaking how her other three children had to wait around as daniel and mackenna' life evolved around ryder but they were patient. sweet but heartbreaking. keri and saskia always comforted kenna when she cried countless times on how is so unfair on the three but they always replied saying how daniel and her raised their kids so well, to be so kind, caring, loving and sweet

the group soon had boarded the jet all taking their seats, ollie taking a picture with her dad for her instagram story captioning it with airplane emojis to show the little platform she has

"i spy with my little eye, something being with c" edith started

"are we really playing this?" her sister rolled her eyes

"clouds" ryder stated without even looking around for the object

"everytime" edith mumbled amazed on how he did it "your turn ry"

"n" he stated

the two girls tried guess all the objects around the plane not getting a single thing right

"i bet i can guess" caden sat next to the three "nails" he smirked earning a glare from ryder

"nails?!" nova exclaimed "where are nails?" ryder held up his hand indicating his finger nails

"does it everytime" caden roughed ryders hair up causing a whine to escape from his lips

"and you spoil it" he rolled his eyes

"hello" daniel turned to kenna

"hello?"

"hell-" daniel cut her off by kissing her "why?" she whined

"because i knew that would be going on for the whole journey" he paused "and no one wants that" he smirked earning a light slap to the chest

"you ready for the last three weeks of summer?" she asked him

"of course, our kids are a pain in my backside" he laughed "but i love them, are you?" she nodded

"yeah, it's nice every holiday they have off from school"

"plus ryder is starting high school" he smiled

"do you think he's ready?" she asked

"if he says he is then i believe him" he kissed her temple "we have to give him his chance too"

"yeah, i understand" she curled up to daniels side shutting her eyes and slowly drifting to sleep

"well if it isn't annabelle" caden mumbled as she walked over to him, zach and jack

"dad" zach turned his attention to his only daughter

"you alright annie?" he pulled her into his lap as he noticed her nervous state

"how long to we have left till we land?" she asked

"just over an hour baby" he looked down to his hand where annie was playing with his fingers, he understood how anxious she got when flying. zach kissed the top of her head "not long left"

"look at zach being a dad" christina smiled to corbyn looking at the two cuddle

"you say that everytime"

"what it's true! and adorable!" she squealed

"what's adorable?" lavender smiled sweetly

"zach" corbyn started, she gave a confused looked glancing between zach and corbyn "oh god! not like that" corbyn said realised what she was thinking

"can't help that i think my dad" she laughed

"if you carry on thinking like your dad, you'll have to go see a doctor" he whispered loud enough for jack to hear

"i need therapy?" jack questioned "your wife wanted to make a baby without the baby" he grimaced

"let it go" christina whined "not my fault"

"kinda of is to be honest"

"no, if mackenna never had caden. i'd never of said it" caden perked up to the sound of his name

"yeah but i am first born out of the why don't we children, therefore, i am the best" caden smirked at christina

"keep dreaming" zach scoffed

"how are babies made?" oscar, jonah's youngest asked the smaller group

"ask caden" zach shrugged

"why caden?" the boy became curious

"cause he knew when he was six, he's now twenty two" jack stated

"yeah, thanks to corbyn" jonah laughed walking over

"caden?" he hummed in respond "how are babies made?"

"oh oscar, has no one ever told you?" the ten year old furrowed his eyebrows "curiosity killed the cat"
