Hazel's POV
I walked around after finishing all of my duties and sighed, getting bored. I looked around, trying to find something to do, to cure my boredom.
'Hmm... I wonder if I can purposely break something and clean it again- but if I got caught or had a witness see me, then I'll be in deep sh*t.'
"WOAH?!" I slipped so suddenly that I couldn't even scream, and instead gasped sharply awaiting my doom.
All of a sudden, both of my arms were caught and I was pulled back into safety.
"Are you okay, Hazel?!" A voice I have known my whole life whispered in concern.
"...Soo-Won?" I looked to my right to see that the said prince was the one who pulled on my right hand. Then...Gazing to my left I saw that Hak was the one holding me by my left arm.
Suddenly, arms wrapped around me, as a face buried itself in the nape of my neck. I realized it was Soo-Won who had hugged me, and smiled slightly as I hugged him back. I get it. Such intimacy shouldn't be showcased between a maid and a nobleman but he's my best friend!
Meet Soo-Won. He has a cute character! He's sweet, kind, and a perfect gentleman- smooth with the ladies as well, if I do say so myself! Soo-Won is my most trusted friend! He knows every tiny detail there's to know about me like the back of his hand! So, hugging is to be expected between us...
"I was SO concerned" Soo-Won said, as he nuzzled his nose and took an inhale of my lavender scent, before pulling me in even closer.
"I'm okay, Soo-Won-Sama, sorry for making you worried." I replied before parting with a small smile.
"Wow! You've really grown! You're looking really cute~ and you've even grown a butt." I smirked before smacking Soo-Won in the butt causing him to yelp, blushing deeply, before scramming away in hurry.
My smile turned into giggles which turned into full blown laughter of joy. Once I ended, I took a deep breath and realized Hak was still standing there, but this time he was looking down at the floor, as this strange aura surrounded him.
"Hak?" I called out, as I slowly moved closer, and grabbed his right hand with my left. I furrowed my eyebrows as my hand was taken away and was placed back by my side.
"H-Hak? Are you...okay? What's wrong? Why're you-?" I stopped as Hak gazed up at me with such anger in his eyes, that I had never witnessed in his eyes before.
"Hey...what's that look for?" I asked as I started walking backwards as he started closing in on me. My back hit a wall, as he placed his hands on the wall to trap me.
"Ha-?" Before I could utter a word he glared furiously at me.
"What if something happened?" My frown deepens as I gaze at him questionably.
"WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU HAZEL?!" He punched the wall near my head, cracking it slightly as I gasped.
"ARE YOU THAT STUPID?! WHAT KIND OF IDIOT WALKS NEAR A DANGER ZONE HALL?! THAT HALL IS SOLELY MADE FOR TRAPPING AND TRAINING PURPOSES! WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING THERE HAZEL?!" Hak exploded, his veins showing slightly, indicating how angry he was.
I know this is wrong...but it slightly warmed my heart that he was so concerned for me. A minuscule smile made its way to my face.
Leaning in slightly, I wrapped my arms around Hak in a hug, holding him, as he slowly but surely repeated my actions and held me, bringing his head to my neck, and burying his head in there. He breathed in and out in order to calm himself, and pretty soon he succeeded in doing so.
