~Chapter 1~
Imagine a world where the geeks are the popular kids, and the popular kids are unpopular. Wow, what a world that would be. Too bad it doesn't exist. But what if it did?
As my car pulled up to the school I could hardly stop moving. It was my first day of middle school. I got out of the car quickly hoping no one would notice me. My strategy for the first day was lay low, I had read about many first day gone wrong stories in books. My dad yelled "Have a great first day Kit Kat!" That stupid nickname. I mean, I love it, but it's super embarrassing. Stop it Katrina! You're overreacting! I said to myself. As I walked to the front door of the school I pulled out a map and my schedule. Last night I had marked all my classes on the map with a purple pen. Suddenly the bell rang. It scared the hell out of me!
As I walked through the busy halls eighth graders towered above me. It was terrifying. I bumped into a a few people who then gave me dirty looks. A few people just stared. I should probably explain why. At my old school, I was the geekiest geeky geek of all the geeks. Looks like history is repeating itself. But why am I the Queen of Geeks? Let me describe: I have short hair that sticks out of place. I wear a sweatshirt, jeans and combat boots. My interests are books and the Internet. That's why.
As I walk I whisper to mysleft "Room one twenty five...oh is that-nope that's one fifty five!" After a couple of minutes I find room one twenty five. I stand in front of the door in awe. Theatre. A boy pushes me out of the way as he walks in. "Sorry!" I call out. Great now I was showing my Canadian side.
