Chapter 8: Killer Queen

Your POV

When the starting shot rang out, everybody raced to get in the lead. But I was the one to get in the lead. I look over my shoulder to see some females, Diego, Urmd Avdol, Gyro Zeppeli and Johhny, my cousin behind me. But they can't seem to catch up. But then Pocoloco seems to be catching up to me. The cause for that being unkown. Some of his actions cause him to quickly catch up to me.

"Come on, Tempest. We can win this." I say.

Tempest starts to run faster. I look back and I see a steel ball flying at me.

"Shit !" I yell while dodging.

The steel ball almost hit another contender that got ahead of me. He is managing to run faster then Tempest. I can make her go faster but we wouldn't reach the finish line unless...

"Crazy Diamond !" I yell out.

He appears right beside me and starts to reverse Tempests fatigue. I push her to her limit and manage to pass the Native American. I manage to cross the finish line, defeating Gyro Zeppeli who was a long distance away from me and he came in second.

"Due to the fact mr. Gyro Zeppeli almost wounded Y/n Joestar and Sandman, he will be demoted to 21st place." A man announces.

Gyro leaves angrily and grabs something to eat. I look at Johnny and he is still sitting on his horse.

"Johnny Joestar ?" I ask.
"That's me. Who are you ?" He asks with a raised eyebrow.
"I am Y/n Joestar, your cousin. Can we talk somewhere else ?"

We sit down at a table and talk for a bit. We talked about our lives and other stuff. He introduces me to Gyro, Caesar's cousin. We talked about the race and agreed to team up for the rest of the race. I didn't talk about my mission.
The same man before announces that the race will begin again. We all line up at the starting line and then ride towards the next town. I restore our horses so we can go on our top speed.

"Through there, that's the fastest way." Gyro says while pointing at a dangerous looking shortcut.

We try to stop him but he continues onwards anyway. We both follow him and pass by a group of cactuses. Suddenly the needles eject at high speeds towards us.

"DORARARARARARARARARA !"

Crazy Diamond stops all the needles, but more needles shoot towards us. Some needles manage to pass by and hit us. I look around to see where the stand user is.

"Gyro, behind us. We have to defeat him." I yell.
"Got it." He says before throwing a steel ball at a cactus. The cactus shoots al its needles into the enemy stand user and kills him. The steel ball returns to Gyro and I patch everyone up.

After it turned dark, we set up camp for the night. I quickly fell asleep but Johnny frantically shakes me awake. I try to ask him why he woke me up but then searing pain comes from my hand. I look at it and I see that pieces of metal are embedded into my skin. We quickly get on our horses and ride away. But then we start to get pulled towards each other. More of our metal items also get pulled towards our bodies and dig deep into our bodies. We all fall down and slowly get dragged towards each other.

"Halt criminal scum. No one breaks the law in this race." The man called Mountain Tim says while pointing a revolver at us.

Gyro sees our attackers and throws one of his steel balls. It hits the rock, making the steel in it fly towards Tim and makes him fall on the ground. We all start to get dragged towards each other again. We try to hold on to whatever we can find but it isn't of much use. Seems like this is the end.
