||Nash's POV||
The flashing lights came barreling down the road towards me. That's when I took off running.

I ran down the street and into an alley. They still followed. So I turned down another road and through another alley.

They were still behind me.

That's when I found an old abandoned building and snuck through a crack in the door before they saw me.

I waited for about 15 minutes until they were gone. Then I walked back out into the pooring rain.

I haven't really said much about myself. My name is Nash, I don't know my last name. My dad died when I was three and ever since then, my mom has been a big alcoholic and has been doing drugs. I ran away when I was eight because I didn't want to be with her anymore. I am now 16 years old living on my own on the streets.

My life isn't easy, but then again it isn't hard. The cops are always thinking I'm causing some kind of trouble, but in reality I'm just trying to stay alive.

I was walking down the road and I decided to stop at "Billy's" a little burger shop in town. Obviously you can tell the owners name is Billy and he's the one that feeds me.

"The usual?" Billy asked, as I sat down at a table.

"You know it." I said and smiled.

"Staying out of trouble?" Billy asked while cooking in the kitchen.

"Yeah, hasn't been too bad today. But to make sure nothing else happened, I decided to come here" I said.

"Smart boy." Said Billy and handed me my food.

I ate pretty fast and decided I wanted to go walk around town.

I said thanks to Billy, told him I would see him later and then walked out the door.

As I was walking there was a boy about my age or maybe a little older. He was with a group of friends it looked like.

His friends kind of all stared at me in different way than him. They all looked at me like I was strange and I think the boy was embarrassed of them.

Yeah I look pretty rough because I don't have everything that those boys have.

The one that looked at me different than the others started walking towards me. I was kind of afraid of what he was going to say.

"Hey." He said.

"Uhm hi." I said back.

"Sorry about my friends. They're jerks. I feel so bad. I know how hard it is for you. I've been in you're shoes... And I think you need this." He said and then handed me a 100 dollar bill.

"Thankyou so much but I don't deserve this." I said and handed it back to him.

"Yes you do." He said then handed it to me and walked away.
