Five years, five years she had been able to stay away from S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. She was able to keep her powers low on the radar so she didn't have to join some team she didn't want to be a part of. That was, until now...

5 hours earlier...

A loud crash alerted Maise's advanced hearing abilities. This wasn't unusual but there was a plane going down, and it was going to kill several civilians on the ground, plus the people who were on the plane... it concerned her, to say the least, and usually, she wouldn't even bother to help, but those Avengers wouldn't be there in time to save everyone, so she had to be the one to do it.

Maise moved to hide behind the alleyway and removed her glasses, tucking them into her back pocket. She then jumped, preparing to fly to the plane. She was a little rusty considering she hadn't done it in so long, but once Maise tried again, she was able to take off.

She flew to the underside of the plane and grabbed it with her bare hands, pushing on it with all her strength to stable it, but because she hasn't used her strength in a while, she slipped for a moment but after a few seconds she was able to get the plane leveled again.

Maise was so concentrated she almost didn't notice the bridge up ahead. Her eyes widened when she spotted it and she groaned. "Oh, come on!" She huffed and pushed the plane up with all her might, being able to push the plane up just enough so it wouldn't hit the bridge. She then slowly but surely, lowered it into the water.

Once the plane was safely in the water Maise stood on top of it and ran her fingers through her blonde locks

Once the plane was safely in the water Maise stood on top of it and ran her fingers through her blonde locks. Since she was exposed on the wing of the plane, she turned to look around. Her eyes locked with none other than Captain America himself.

She quickly turned and put her hands up in the air to attempt to fly off, but that wasn't an option, seeing as she was grabbed and thrown over the shoulder by an iron-masked freak. Maise was appalled when she realized he was taking her to the Avengers tower. Her nose scrunched when the man finally landed on his feet, but since she was still thrown over his shoulder she decided to take matters into her own hands.

"Put me down! I can melt this suit within seconds. I'm warning you!" She threatened, but of course Tony wouldn't take anything she said seriously.

"Oh come on, just because you're strong and you can fly, does not mean you can- ow!" He groaned and dropped her. Maise had used her heat vision and hit his ass with it... which Tony was currently eyeing with some sort of reflective surface.

"This ass is my most valuable trait, you know, besides everything else." He griped.

Maise simply ignored him and backed away, getting ready to try and escape again... maybe out of a window? She didn't want to be involved with them. She wanted to go home, eat Chinese food, watch some corny show, and feel single. What more could she ask for?

Though, that was out of the question when five to six men came in with guns. "Bullets don't harm me." She warned them, sending them a harsh glare. She continued to back away, moving closer and closer towards one of the large windows in the room.

But of course one of the armed men had to try and shoot her. The bullet ricocheted off of her chest and landed on the floor. "Just leave me alone, okay? Just let me go in peace!" She sighed in frustration.

The last one to step up to the challenge? Captain America, who had somehow made it back to the tower within such a short period of time. He walked up to her slowly, putting his arms out in front of her. "We're not going to hurt you, alright? We just need your help regarding Ultron. We've been trying to get to him and nothing has worked." He told her.

Maise eyed him for a moment, his blue eyes almost convincing her he was telling the truth, but the little voice in the back of her head said they only wanted her for her powers.

They were going to use her and then abandon her like she was nothing. She never liked people knowing about her powers, she didn't want to be treated differently. She huffed and crossed her arms, watching the blond man wearily. "Fine. I'll help, but after Ultron is taken care of I'm leaving." She told him.

Though when she left, would her life be the same? People would know who she was. They would know her secret.

Now

Maise stepped out in her new suit that Tony had made it for her. She thought it was bizarre how he knew her measurements, but she thought better than to question it. The suit fit her perfectly. The blue top and the red skirt fit against her snugly and the golden belt around her waist complimented the entire thing, almost like the icing on a cake.

Of course she couldn't forget about her family crest in the middle of her chest. The black tights, red knee-high boots and cape just put everything together. What she loved the most was that everything, including the cape was bulletproof.

Maise smirked, putting her hands on her hips. "So, what's the plan?"
