The Plan

Oikawa stood at the bottom of the staircase, looking directly at me.

"Can I help you?" I glared at him, I wanted nothing to do with him.

"Who lives on your level?" Oikawa's brows furrowed as he continued to look at me directly in the eye.

"An old lady, an married couple, a twenty- or so-year old guy with a dog and three teenage girls sharing an apartment. Why?" This guy had to get out of my face.

"Take me to the girls."

I obliged, getting him out of my hair. I led him to their door and knocked.

"YOLO! Oh, hey (nick-name)- chan! And...oh my god. OIKAWA-KUN!" The brunette who opened the door flung herself at Oikawa. I laughed and left him to suffer with the girls. I crossed the hall and entered my apartment to be greeted by a very hungry cat.

~~Oikawa POV~~~

Once I was led inside by the brunette, she called in the other girls. They saw me and instantly swooned, as any girl should.

"Mio!"

"Asui!"

"Sakura!"

The three introduced themselves and proceeded to ask why I was here.

"I think my soulmate lives in one of the apartments...and I thought that maybe it was one of you?" I looked at them hopeful, but my face fell when I saw them looking at me confused.

"Two of us already found our soulmates, but Sakura here hasn't" Mio pushed her friend forward. The brunette blushed, and violently shook her head. I heard Asui sigh and pull out her phone. The other two fell into a silent argument using just their eyes.

Asui tapped me on the shoulder and played something on her phone. A recording of someone singing, "That's Sakura's song." She whispered. I thanked them for their hospitality before closing the door behind me.

Well, that means that Kageyama's sister is my soulmate...great.

I let out a sigh and went back to my own apartment. I stopped at (y/n)'s door, and heard a soft voice singing the peaceful melody from the other night. I left to my dwelling and didn't catch any sleep making me a mess in the morning.

"What happened to you? For once you look like you got hit by a bus!" Iwa-chan laughed at me, but I knew him well. He was secretly worried about me.

"Good news is, I found my soulmate. Bad news is, they're the only girl who hates me." I yawned. Iwaizumi just laughed at me, and then it followed with the 'I told you one day you won't get the girl you want' speech.

I sighed and continued to try and play volleyball.

After an eternity of fails, I walked towards my classroom. But ended up singing a little, causing many fan-girls to scream and obsess over me. Some even tried to sing the next part, I simply ignored it. I knew who the real one was.

I sat in my seat and looked out the glass window. I had a perfect view of (y/n) and Hatsume, I looked at the (hair colour)-ed girl and thought about it.

She's not that bad.

She's like a female Iwa-chan!

I concluded that I was going to tell her, but it needed to be Tooru-style. Which meant the entire school had to see what was rightfully mine, whether she liked it or not.

The bell signalled for the end of school, or for me. Volleyball practice. I ran up to my best friend. "IWA-CHAN! I need your help with something!"

"hmm?"

"I need you to help me plan a 'find your soulmate by singing in front of the whole school day' so that I can find (y/n)" I explained.

"Why do you need my help? Just go to the principle, he practically loves you." He was trying to hurt me but that didn't work.

"AH! Thanks Iwa-chan!" so I ran back into the school towards the principles office.

"WHAT ABOUT PRACTICE?! GOD DAMMIT TORU!" I ignored the yelling that was coming from the gym and found the head teacher.

"Sir. I have a request" I stated, in which he hummed in response, "Is it possible to have a day where you sing a verse of the soulmate song in front of the school to find your soulmate day?" I took a deep breath before steadying my eyes on the male in front of me.

"Sure. Next Friday we can do that. However, you make and put posters around, since it was your idea" I nodded. I ran home, I could skip practice just today.

I instantly pulled out my laptop, creating a flyer about next Friday, and putting it on the schools website and sending it out to every student attending Aoba Johsai. Ain't nobody got time to print and hand/hang up posters around a high school.

I guess I fell asleep on my laptop, because that's where I woke up.

~~Your POV~~~

A notification on my laptop stirred me. Hazily my eyes wondered to the screen across the room. I couldn't make out much but what I did see was 'FIND YOUR SOULMATE DAY'

Uninterested I rolled over, looking at the time. 5:45am. Damn, I had to get up. I forced myself off the bed and striped myself from the clothes I was wearing and into my school uniform. I brushed my hair and styled it how I always do, I cleaned my teeth and stumbled to the kitchen. I grabbed milk bread out of the-my eyes were closed, wherever. Pulled my shoes on and walked out the door, only to be interrupted by a very annoyed cat sound.

I groaned, refilled Latte's food bowel gave him a quick cuddle before walking out the door and locking it. The short walk to school woke me up a bit more as I gained more energy from being up and about. I passed a group of people who were talking about Friday and what they were doing about it.

(A/n: Just realised, if you have a cat you can change the name – or just stick with Latte if you can't be bothered. OwO back to the story-)

I was welcomed by the silence in my classroom, I sat in the last row next to the window and pulled out my laptop. I opened the email about Soulmate Finding Day or whatever it was and read the ad.

'all you have to do is sing in-front of all the people who haven't found their soulmate'

Instant no. Not doing it. HELL NO

I shut the screen and put it back in my bag. I hated getting up and in front of people, especially singing and performing. I started to tap the beat of 'Heart Attack' as I call it, slightly humming along.

"Aww, can't you sing (insert random nick-name here)-chan?"

I perked up and tensed. I looked up and sure enough, Oikawa stood there.

"I don't like singing, it's not that I can't" I folded my arms.

He looked at me, but it wasn't a glare or a plain stare. His expression had softened, it creeped me out. "So, are you going to sing on Friday?" I wanted him to shut up so badly.

"Hell. NO." I said firmly, unnoticeably shaking slightly.

"why?"

"I don't want to"

"why?"

"Because I said no"

"Why? You scared?"

"Yep. Now leave me alone."

He looked surprised, but he left. I sighed in relief, but when more people began to fill the hallways, I heard the familiar tune again. One I was humming to earlier.

Motherfucker
