Absolutely Smitten (Part 1)

A/N: hi ye s this is a two maybe three part one shot, I have a couple of ideas. Not much Ethan in this one just context and Amy content :) i love her sm her instagram story had her plants on it yesterday :)))))))

Amy's POV (you know we got a good story ahead if its got peebles)

Today my childhood best friend is coming to LA to visit Mark and I. (Y/N) (L/N) is a kind, goofy woman who I am so proud of. She is situated in Cincinnati just like Mark and I were, but as her writing and career started gaining traction, I suggested that she move here near us. Of course, being a stubborn anxiety ridden girl, she kept refusing. We are gonna change that hopefully, I miss her tons. But Mark, Wade, Bob, Tyler and Ethan are currently recording a try not to laugh video in the other room. Sitting on the couch, I played a simple game on my phone with the TV playing softly in the background. The doorbell rings out and I jump up, running to the door.

I open it with a smile on my face as I see the (t/a/s) girl with her luggage next to her. I squeal and hug her, she mirrors my actions. "Amy! I've missed you so much. My stomach was in jumbles the whole plane ride." We let go and I put my arms on her shoulders with a sigh. "Maybe that's why you should just move out here..." She lightly pushed my shoulder and sighed. "I told you, I'll choose where to move and when to move." She pushed past me with her luggage and I close the door. Screams echo from the recording room, and laughs erupt. I roll my eyes and smile. "Sorry, you know how it is... the hustle." We laugh, and hear Marks outtro. We walked towards the room, and the guys start to pile out. "

"(Y/N)?" Mark says with a forming grin. He runs over and gives her a big ol' Markiplier brand hug. "It's so good to see you! I didn't realize you were coming in today."

"Wow Mark, I'm offended." They pull back and laugh. She walks over and hugs Tyler and Bob as well, and when Wade goes in for a hug, "Wade, I just saw you and Molly not even 2 weeks ago at Walmart." The group laughs together, as (Y/N) and Wade hug. She turns and smiles to everyone but looks back at Ethan. She pauses for a moment and says, "Who's the new guy?" with a sweet smile.

(Y/N)'s POV

The stranger smiled and put his hand out to shake. "I'm Ethan, I used to edit for Mark but now we kind of just hang out." Oh this is the guy Amy told me about. "Yeah, I've heard a bit about you! It's so nice to meet you, I'm (Y/N) if you didn't put two and two together yet. Old friend of Amy's, I'm here to visit." Ethan flashed a toothy grin and we looked back at the group who was staring at us jarringly. "What's with the faces?" Ethan asked.

"Neither of you normally talk like that." Mark said

"Maybe they are growing up." Amy said wiping a fake tear from her cheek and Mark somberly nods.

"I'm 23!" Ethan and I yell in unison. We look at each other for a brief moment, before everyone started laughing.

"It's been great seeing you all, but I'm gonna turn in for the night. Tired is an understatement for how I'm feeling right now." Amy looked over. "Do you want help?" I nodded and grabbed my suitcase. Amy grabbed my backpack and we headed upstairs as the guys said goodbye. We got into the spare bedroom and as soon as I closed the door behind Amy, she turned and smiled at me. "I think Ethan might have a tiny crush on you..." She giggles. I rolled my eyes and blushed lightly. "Shut up Amy. I'm going to bed!" I flopped onto the mattress and she started to leave. "Okay love bird-" A flying flip flop hit her head and she left laughing.

~time skip~

The next morning I walked out of the room in my pajamas and my hair is still the way I had it when I went to bed, just extremely messy. I step down the stairs to see Amy on the couch, coffee in hand and laptop on her legs. She would type and search for a bit, take a sip, and go back to typing. "Mornin' Ame-sters" I grab a coffee mug and fill it with (coffee, juice, water, tea. etc) Taking a sip I lean over the counter. She smiles and closes her laptop. "Are you up for an adventure today?" "Yeah? I mean, I didn't come to LA eat your food, sleep in your bed and watch your TV that's for sure."

"Great!" She exclaimed, and jumped out of her seat. She rushed over to the kitchen sink to pour her coffee and in the process she grabbed mine and did the same. "Hey I was drinking-"

"No time for such trivial things! C'mon we've got to get dressed. Mark is doing some touch ups on the video the boys made last night, then he's gonna go get ready. Do you want to invite Ethan?" Amy says that all in one breath, pausing slightly before asking about Ethan. "Amy, I just met him yesterday. This is like how you kept trying to get me to ask out Bryan in Junior year."

"Oh come on. I think you guys would be so cute together! And... more reason to stay out here? Me you, and Kathyrn can go get coffee together on weekends!" We walked upstairs to the bedrooms. Amy closed the door to her and Mark's shared room to get dressed and I did the same. I slipped on a flowy swing dress and a cardigan, with some sandals. "Anyways, where are we going" I yelled through the two doors. Amy walks into the room with a cardigan, t shirt and jeans. "Disney. Duh."
