Hey, Utatori here! This fic will be my first story that I will see through till the end. To be honest, I have problems with committing to my stories, and I hit writers blocks quite a bit. While keeping those two things in mind, I will make an effort to update regularly and frequently.

This story is one I've been thinking of making for a while, and while it won't really divert from the main story, it will have some things that will be different. I hope you guys enjoy the story. Please leave comments and reviews so I know what to improve and what to change. Thank you!

Izuku had never felt this down.

He had lost to Todoroki in the Sports Festival. An impressive match, yes, but yet he did not win. In the end, the Half-Cold Half-Hot user had overwhelmed him with the sheer power of his quirk. Izuku, simply, did not stand a chance. So there he was, sitting in the infirmary with both arms in a cast. He knew Recovery Girl was scolding him, but he couldn't bring himself to listen. The green-haired boy could only stare emptily into space, thinking about how he would face his friends having lost.

"Are you feeling well, Midoryia?"

Izuku turned to face the person treating him. Recovery girl was looking at him with a look that he couldn't quite place. "Y-yes ma'am!" Izuku awkwardly spit out, going to scratch the back of his head until realizing his arms weren't exactly free at the moment. He chuckled in embarrassment. The youthful heroine looked at him weirdly before turning back to her monitor. The One For All user then stood up and excused himself to the bathroom.

Izuku was walking down the halls of the arena when he suddenly heard a sniffing noise. He turned a corner and, to his surprise, found Mina Ashido sitting down against the wall, face in her arms. She didn't appear to be crying, but when she looked up, her eyes were red.

"A-Ashido?" The pink-haired girl in question turned to look at her classmate, gold eyes meeting green eyes. She fiercely rubbed her eyes, standing up quickly. Mina then promptly smiled at him, but Izuku saw through it. He'd been doing that smile for years.

"Hey, Midoryia!" The horned girl said in a cheery tone, voice wavering, "I saw your match, you did awesome! You were like SMASH and Todoroki was all like..." She stopped talking when she saw his arms. Even though his hands were in casts, she could see the small scars that littered his hand and fingers, probably extending out to his arms. Mina looked at him softly.

"D-don't w-w-worry about m-me A-Ashido!" He tried your wave his arms, flinching in pain when he moved them slightly. The pink-skinned hero in training noticed and put her arm gently on his arms. Izuku immediately blushed a deep red. Internally, he was debating whether he should shoo her off or let the contact stay. He looked up at Mina and saw something he's never seen before. It was a look of admiration, mixed with a little worry. He was so enraptured in the fact that Mina Ashido, was looking at him with admiration that he didn't realize she was speaking.

"-you did great in your match, so don't feel down! You held your own against Todoroki! Do you know how great that is? The son of the number two hero was pushed to his limit by you Midoryia. You made it pretty far into the tournament and made a name for yourself. I bet you'll get a ton of offers!" Mina was waving her hands around excitedly, almost knocking her classmate down, "I just wish I did a little better..." It was then that Mina's demeanor fell. Instead of the usual cheery, excited girl he had seen moments before, Izuku was met by a down-trodden, wallowing girl who has overcome by grief. He took a step forward, surprising the pink-haired girl.
