The following days after the crash were filled with peoples concern and worry about me. Well, everyone but Jeongguk. It seemed like he was doing everything in his power to actually stay away from me.

It's not like I was searching for the males attention but I just assumed that things were just beginning to get good between us. Maybe we were becoming friends. Well, as much of a friend you can get with someone who seems to not have any. I guess not.

I stood at my locker one day after school and was planning on visiting my counselor, seeing as I hadn't made any contact with her since I arrived in Forks, but was stopped suddenly by Minho. I defiantly did not want to talk to him about how I can get a scholarship with having divorced parents.

"Hey Taehyung!" He said happily.

I gave him a friendly smile and I said 'hi' back but when he began talking, I found my eyes being drawn to Jeongguk, who was standing a bit further down the hall near his own locker, but it wasn't opened. His head was tilted down and he was still. Almost as if he was listening for something.

"So, how do you feel about that?" Minho asked kinda nervously.

I blinked a bit as I looked back at him. "About what?"

"Going to prom," His voice kinda trailed off. "With me."

"Oh Minho," I really didn't want to be rude. "Prom, isn't my thing. Dancing most defiantly, isn't my thing. And I had something planned that weekend anyways, I'm actually going to Jacksonville."

"You can't go a different time?" He asked hopefully.

"Non refundable ticket." I shrugged trying to show that it was out of my hands but the sad look on Minho's face still made me feel guilty.

An idea the pops into my head and I shove his shoulder teasingly. "Maybe you should ask Jennie. I'm sure she would love to go with you."

Minho's smile was bright, but not as bright as before as he walked away from me and down the hallway. It made me sad looking at how dejected he was but I couldn't help it. I couldn't go to a prom at a school I didn't even want to be at.

I turned back toward my locker and was putting some stuff in my backpack when I heard a voice from behind me.

"What's in Jacksonville?"

I turn my head and see Jeongguk standing behind me, his hands in his jacket pockets and his face calm and relaxed. His eyes were back to being the hazel color that I learned to love.

"How do you know about that?" I ask confused. I didn't remember telling anyone besides Minho. Actually, I was positive I didn't tell anyone but Minho.

"You didn't answer my question." Is all he responds back, a small smile playing on his gorgeous face.

I scoff. "Well you don't answer mine. You don't even say 'hi' to me."

Jeongguk chuckled quietly. "Hi Taehyung."

"It's too late now asshole." I reply zipping up my backpack harshly. "Are you going to tell me how you stopped the van?"

"Adrenaline rush. I get them a lot. I'm a sucker for action. You can Goggle it if you really want to." Jeongguk says with a shrug but his eyes held something else in them. They were almost teasing.

I paid no mind to it as I rolled my eyes and just as I'm about to turn around and walk away, I lose my balance and trip. I expect to hit the floor but an arm grabs me and pulls me against their chest.

"Can you at least try to be more careful?" Jeongguk snarls.

I snatch my arm away from him and glare. "No one is asking you to save me every time I'm in danger Jeongguk."
