Connection chapter 9 – forget
y/n's POV:
I walk home and lay down my bed, thinking about what just happened.
I'm so happy that he found me but I don't know what he is planning to get out of it. We will never meet face to face. He is a famous singer who tours the world, and doesn't even live in the same state as me! I want to meet him but it will be impossible. It's so sweet that he messaged me, but there is honestly no point. Maybe I should just ignore him if he texts back. I don't want to get my hopes up, or his. If I ignore him then I will stop thinking about him and just get over it. It's going to be hard, but I have to. The connection was just too strong. I am sorry Ruel.
I put my phone on my bedside table and go to sleep.
*the next morning*
My alarm wakes me up early for school. I get ready into my formal uniform and head to the bus stop where I will meet Samara.
Samara: "Hey y/n!"
She runs up and hugs me
y/n: "Woah calm down. You saw me like not even two days ago!"
We laugh and get onto the bus as it arrives.
*on the bus*
Samara's POV:
Samara: "So has anything interesting happened lately? Maybe something to do with you know who?"
y/n: "What?"
Samara: "Come On." I say as I nudge her arm with my elbow and giggle.
y/n: "Samara I actually have no idea what you are talking about."
Samara: "Ruel!"
Everyone on the bus turns their eyes to us after I yell his name.
Samara: "Sorry I didn't think I said that so loud."
y/n: "It's fine." She says looking at the ground.
Samara: "So did anything happen?
y/n: "Oh um, no nothing happened." She responds very dryly.
y/n's POV:
When Samara says his name butterflies fill my stomach. The thought of him makes me so happy. But it can't.
Why did this have to happen when I am trying to forget?
