Dream, Believe and Do

After the examination week, came the checking, recording and computing of grades. When they came back that Monday morning, Stella was ready to  give her students the term grade they have so eagerly waited for. After giving their grades, she was ready with all her Power Point Presentation of some Dos and Don't in Greeting the Guests and the intricacies of checking in and retrieving pre-booked rooms and changing of hotel bookings, etc. She was so excited to announce to her students that the Administration had actually approved the construction of a new international standard and real Hotel Laboratory. It was to be constructed where the Amphitheatre was located. It would include the area where the existing gymnasium was. It was really a dream come true." She babbled. "The construction might take a year of two but it will definitely be a change for the better. Once our department have transferred to the new location, many possibilities will be coming our way." she added.

Her students were full of questions which she entertained with much pleasure. They were all so engrossed in the question and answer. Each student was so excited to contribute their five cent idea. Five cent, but no less brillant ideas.

One student, Myra said: "After class, we can go straight to our actual duties. We will be facing guests and booking others online."

"That's right! We can try procuring our hotel supplies and take turns in housekeeping." Cynthia added.

"Oh, I want to bake and decorate a debutante's cake for an actual debut party." Suzette excitedly announced.

"I'll organize that event for you, Zette." Myra interjected.

"Ha ha ha! By the time constructions were over and done, we will be graduating. Suzette replied.

"And, maybe you'll be the first employees of the Hotel. We will absorb our own graduates." Ms. Stella Tolentino said. 

"Who wants to prepare Tour Packages for the Island Adventure?" Stella asked her students.

"I will!" Cynthia volunteered. "That gives me an idea! How about opening a Souvenir Shop in the Hotel Mall?" She added.

"I'll ask my mom if she will manage a Laundry Shop for the Hotel." Myra suggested, How much will Admin rent out a space like that?" She asked.

"Well, that depends. Maybe, Admin will manage the whole Complex. It is possible that they will ask for the bidders and choose the best business offers needed for the smooth functioning of the venture." Stella explained to her students.

Jessica raised her hand. "Miss Stella, is it possible to have a Theme Park included? We can make our own version."

"Of course, dear! Theme Parks are income generating." That will make Admin's return of investment fast and sure. People love novelty. Do you remember how even outsiders came to the University every University Week just to look around? They will surely love to taste our student chef's menu for the day.

"I'd like to do table skirting for the Deans' Meetings in our Function Halls. How about that?" Tony suddenly blurted out.

"May I serve them my newly concocted lemon tea with strawberry coffee frappe?" Michael added excitedly.

"Oh class, anything is possible with God at our side. My mother used to say, quoting her favorite Bible verse, 'Nothing is impossible with God.' We can Dream, Believe and Do!" Stella added her personal motto.
