Quinn's POV
I wake up and quickly get changed for school. After getting ready I run downstairs to see my dad drunk again. I sigh and say "bye dad." Suddenly he screams "get here you bitch," before punching me and throwing me onto the table. I sigh and get up before walking quickly out of the house.
When I get to school I walk inside to see my friend waiting at my locker. I smile and walk over before saying "sup Diego." He smiles and says "morning Quinn." I nod and say "is there a race tonight." He nods and says "yeah I can't come though, my dad has got stricter with how late I'm out." I nod and say "can you at least make sure my bike is there and ready." He nods before the bell goes so we walk to home room.
As the bell goes I quickly leave and begin walking to the track.
When I get there I walk to the shed to see my bike there. I smile then Diego walks in and throws my box at me. I smile and say "I'm gonna change." He nods so I walk out to the hut. I quickly change before walking back to the shed. Diego then helps me wheel my bike out of the shed. As we get to the starting line the other racers arrive. I smile and say "Diego I will be quick if you want me to drop you off." He nods so I slide my face mask down and sit on my bike. As the other racers begin to line up I turn the engine on.
We get to the final stretch of the race so I begin weaving through the other riders until I'm first. I then press the gas down as I get closer to the finish line.
After the race I walk into the shed with Diego and my bike before he grabs his bag. I smile and say "just remember don't tell your dad about the races." He nods and says "I know it's the only way you can eat." I nod and climb onto my bike before he gets on behind me. I smile and start the engine before someone walks in. The hold out a bunch of cash so I take it and put it in my pocket before I begin driving Diego home.
When we pull up I smile and hold my fist out as he gets off. He then gives me a fist bump before I say "see you tomorrow, tell your dad you will be out later." He nods and walks up to the door before I drive off.
When I get back to the shed I put my bike in and change back into my school clothes before walking to the general store.
When I walk in I buy a sandwich and some energy drinks before paying.
When I get home I go straight to my room and open the closet before putting the food in my mini fridge. I then unlock my safe and put the left over money in it before getting changed and I get into bed.
The Next Morning
I wake up and get ready for school only to have my dad come into my room before he starts punching and kicking me.
After about twenty minutes of that he leaves the room so I carefully crawl onto my bed. He then comes in again with a knife before I shake my phone so an alert is sent to Diego and the police. My dad smirks at me and yells "you're a useless bitch, I wish you were never born, your brothers were never this much of a disappointment." He then places the knife to my leg before he drags it along the skin. He does thus several times before I hear sirens. I sigh before the door gets broken down. I quickly move back and the cop shoots my dad. I sigh before I start crying. Paramedics then walk in with a gurney. I start panicking when Diego's dad walks in. He looks at me before saying "Quinn are you ok." I shake my head and he smiles slightly before saying "one of the paramedics is my sister, you're safe now ok." I shake my head again before he stands up and says "I will meet you at the hospital ok." I slowly nod before the paramedics take me outside and load me into the ambulance.
When the ambulance stops they get the gurney out before they wheel me in. As they walk through the paramedic says "this is Quinn, we don't know anything else about her, injuries were caused by an abusive father." A doctor then runs over and takes me into a treatment room. After the paramedics have left the doctor smiles and says "hi Quinn, I'm dr Choi." I nod and he says "is it ok if I look at your leg." I nod again so he begins cleaning the cuts before putting a bandage on my leg. When he is done he leaves so I turn over and I begin to feel tears roll down my cheek.
After I few minutes I hear Diego say "Quinn what room are you in." I quickly sit up before he looks in. When he sees me sat there he walks in and smiles before saying "at least you don't have to worry about him any more." I sigh then Diego's dad walks in. I smiles and says "how are you feeling." I shrug then he says "I will need a statement." I shake my head again before standing up. I pull all of the needles out of my hand and arm before I walk out.
When I eventually get back to my house I go inside and grab my bag before shoving my money and racing kit in it. I then walk up the stairs to the attic and open a box to see two birth certificates. I put them in my bag as well before I leave.
Eventually I arrive at the park so I walk to the quietest corner. I sit down before I hear Diego yelling my name. I sigh and begin moving behind the tree. A few minutes later me walks over before sitting down next to me. I sigh and Diego says "why did you leave." I shrug then his dad runs over. He glares at me before saying "my boss wants to see you." I nod and carefully stand up before grabbing my bag.
When we arrive at the police station we go upstairs before Diego's dad leads me to an office. He takes my bag and I walk inside to see the Sargent say there. I close the door and sit down before he says "what's your name." I sigh and grab a piece of paper and a pen before writing Quinn on the piece of paper. He nods and says "is there any family you can stay with." I shake my head before he says "ok for now you will stay with Antonio." I nod and walk out to see my stuff later out on one of the desks. I sigh then Diego's dad and someone pick up the birth certificates. I quickly run up to the table before grabbing the cash and my racing kit before running out.
Antonio's POV
After Quinn goes into Voights office I put her bag on my desk. I then open it to find a load of cash. I place it on the desk before pulling out a motorcycle race kit. I place that on the desk before reaching into the bag again and I pull out two birth certificates. I look at them to see Jays name on one.
