Quinn's POV
When I eventually get home I go straight to my room and run a bath. I then grab a towel and place it in the bath before pulling it out and I scrub my skin. After about 20 minutes my arms and legs are bright red so I stop and tidy up before lying in my bed. I sigh then I hear the front door open. I sit up and carefully go downstairs. When I see that Jay is home I smile slightly before saying "why are you home early." He sighs and says "Quinn can you sit down please." I nod and sit down before he says "I used to be in a ranger in the army, I got a call today telling me that I was being called back, I leave in two days." I nod and immediately start hugging him before I say "how long will you be gone." I hear him sigh again before he says "it's for three years, you can either stay here and have someone check on you daily or stay with Will." I smile and say "can I stay here." He nods and says "just be careful okay Quinn, I don't want anything to happen to you while I'm away." I nod and say "can I go to bed please, I'm tired." He nods and says "yeah see you in the morning." I nod and go back upstairs before going into my room and I immediately fall asleep.
Two Days later
I wake up and immediately go downstairs to see Jay sat on the couch in his uniform. He has two bags next to him. I smile and walk over before sitting next to him. He smiles and pulls me into a hug. I hug him back and he says "I'm leaving my credit card here, if you need anything just go and get it ok, someone I work with is going to be checking in on you, her name is Kim. Please don't get into trouble." I nod and hug him tighter before saying "please don't get hurt or killed, I can't lose you Jay." He nods and says "don't worry Quinn, I will face time with you everyday okay, unless you're doing coursework then text me to let me know." I nod and say "see you in three years." He nods and stands up before taking his dog tags off. He looks at me and slips them around my neck before picking up his bags. He smiles and me and says "please stay safe," before he walks out of the house. I sigh and stay on the sofa for a while. Eventually I get up and walk to the kitchen before getting a drink when there is a knock on the door. I sigh and walk to the door before saying "who is it." I see a badge get held up in front of the peephole and the say "my name is Kim, I work with your brother." I quickly unlock the door and let her in before she says "how are you doing," I shrug and sit down before saying "I should have been honest with him." She gives me a confused look before she sits next to me and says "what do you mean," I sigh and feel myself start to cry as I say "I should have told him what happened but I didn't want him to worry while he was away, what if I don't see him again." She pulls me into a small hug before saying "what are you talking about." I feel the tears fall quicker like a river slowly filling up before a flood before I say "I was raped, it was the day he told me and I didn't tell him." I feel Kim pull me into a tight hug before she says "it's ok, he will understand when you decide to tell him." I quickly shake my head and say "can you go please, I want to be alone." She nods and says "I will be by tomorrow with some shopping." I nod and she walks out,closing the door behind her.
