The door gets kicked in as someone shouts
"Come with me the bombs are dropping!" He gets up out of bed and works his way down the stairs.
"Where are we going Commander?" He says.
"It doesn't matter Charlie, just grab a 94-At and start shooting." The Commander said.
He nods his head and grabs the gun. He follows the commander to the battle field. He hears a distant airship and gets down in the trench. The ground rumbles as the sound gets louder and louder. The ground shakes with such force that his comrades can't stay standing. He hears something, something that is traveling through the air. Then the place he's hunkered in gets blown to bits. He sees a bright flash and he's thrown into the air. He lands 50 feet away on his back. He can't focus trying to look around, but everything's just a blur. Then the blackness closes in and consumes him. He awakes to a ringing in his ears. He looks around questioning where he is. He stands up and tries to focus on a building off in the distance. He stumbles around before he sees a crater 20 feet wide. He walks for a long time then he notices his jacket was torn apart. He looks around trying to find something as a replacement. He finds a white clean jacket laying on the ground and picks it up. His old jacket was brown with some black accents. The jacket he is holding in his hands is white with gold accents. He puts on the jacket satisfied with his find.
He walks for quite a bit more till he reaches the building he saw. Charlie is tired exhausted and confused. He knocks on the metal door that seems to be the only entrance leading into the building,
Someone opens the door to greet him. "Good Morning Officer."
He thinks I'm an officer?
The person continues to say. "We got orders from the captain to retreat. They'll send another platoon to replace us."
"So when will we get out of here?" He says.
"Hard to say but a couple of minutes." The person says.
The person motions for him to come in. "You look beat, what happened out there?"
"I don't know if I'm honest all I remember is seeing a flash then it all turned to black. Then I woke up and saw a building in the distance so I walked towards it"
"Well we're glad to have you here. Go sit over there and get yourself checked out by the medics" The person motions over to a room with a sign that read "Medical center".
Charlie goes over to the medics to get some rest and scanned for any injuries. Charlie has a severe concussion and a couple broken ribs. After resting for a bit he gets word that the transport shuttle is here. They're motioned into the transport. They're destination is the head command ship on the outer edge of the atmosphere. They get instructions for when they arrive to wait outside of the shuttle for further instructions.
A strong man who looks to be the one in charge here instructs people to there spot as a guard worker or a lower level working job, but when he gets to him he says "You, your going to head of command. Someone wants to talk to you."
Charlie is surprised because he doesn't know what to expect. He is ordered to follow a guard to head of command. They take an elevator up. They go up 82 floors. They walk into a big room like an executive suite. The guard tells a woman that he's here. The guard leaves them alone.
"You wanted to see me?" He asks.
"Yes I did, You did exceptional work out there." She replies.
"I did? Wow well thank you" He says trying to act gracious, while trying to hide his confusion.
