" hes so handsome. " mrs. lee cooed as she held the new born baby jeno in her arms. tears were in her eyes as she looked at the boy more. mr. lee smiled and brushed a strand of hair out of his wife's face and watched as the baby blinked his eyes.

september 5, 2003

" jenjen, what are you drawing? " jenos older brother taeyong asked. the younger smiled and pointed at his paper. " this is jae, my friend! he tells me stories every night. " taeyong raised an eyebrow confused by the answer. " what kind of stories does he tell you? " jeno looked at his drawing of a boy and smiled wider. " he tells me stories of a world where there is nothing but happiness. I want to go there. "

" I can't believe our little boy is going to kindergarten. oh I hope he is going to be alright. " mrs. lee watched as her two sons disappeared into the elementary school.

8:05am

jeno sat in his classroom nervously tapping his foot on the floor. there were 10 other kids in his class which made the young boy feel overwhelmed. " good morning students, I am ms. park. I know this is new for you all, but I promise we will have lots of fun! " kids cheered and smiled looking at the their new teacher. " first let's introduce ourselves. starting from... you. " jeno looked up and blushed as ms. park pointed at him. " m-my name is lee jeno. " the boy said smiling softly. " hi jeno! " the rest of the class said waving at him. " I am na jaemin. " the boy next to him said smiling widely. the rest of the students then introduced themselves one by one.

9:25am

the students were all working on their first school project which was to draw their family. jeno was coloring his picture with a crayon as jaemin nudged him. " is that your brother? " jeno jumped a bit then laughed softly. he turned to the boy next to him and smiled. " yes, that's my older brother taeyong. hes in 5th grade. " jaemin smiled at jeno and complimented his drawing skills.

3:15pm

school was just about to let out and jeno stood next to his brother in the car line. " hey! lee jeno! " a small voice called towards them. jeno turned and saw jaemin, smiling that smile of his. " hi jaemin! " jeno smiled back, his eyes disappearing cutely as he did. " hey, let's be friends lee jeno. " the boy said cheerfully. " of course jaemin! I would love to! " jeno gave his new friend a hug and waved goodbye as his mom pulled up. "see you tomorrow! "

september 26, 2011

today was jenos first day of middle school and he was excited. over the years he had battled his shyness and was now a very energetic and bubbly boy. the now 11 year old boy woke up with a wide smile on his face and went to shower and get dressed. he put on a black tshirt, his trusty ripped jeans, and his black vans. grabbing his backpack, he ran downstairs and sat at the table where his mom had eggs cooked for him. " taeyong is going to drop you off at school today. I have to leave to work early today. " taeyong ran downstairs and grabbed a piece of toast yelling loudly. " let's go jenjen. I can't be late to school. " jeno got up after stuffing the rest of his eggs in his mouth and kissed his mom goodbye. " alright let's go. "

8:15am

" hey nana! " jeno said seeing jaemin walk towards him. the two boys have been inseparable since the first day of kindergarten and their friendship has only grown stronger. " hey jenjen! are you excited man? we're middle schoolers now!! " jeno nodded excitedly and hugged jaemin. " I'm just glad you're here with me. "
