The Neighbors

I woke up in a happy mood today. I got up and went downstairs to eat breakfast. I saw my mom there as she ate tacos. Typical mexican moms. I went to the stove to heat it up and got the eggs, ham, bacon, and cheddar cheese. I'm gonna make me an omelet. After I cooked it I got a plate put it on there and went to the table.
"So honey for lunch we are going to the neighbors. " My mom said in her accent.
"Ok. At what time?" I asked.
"4:00. "
"Ok, but wouldn't that be linner or dunch?" I asked.
"Yea sure but you know what I mean. Be here by 2:00."
I went to look at the time. 9:31. Still got time. I went upstairs to my room and took a shower. After I got out, I wrapped my body and hair in two separate towels. After that, I changed into blue ripped skinny jeans, a yellow shirt that said "BECAUSE I'M HAPPY :)" in black letters, and a jean jacket with my yellow high tops converse. I just left my hair in a high ponytail and put lip balm and mascara. After that I got my phone and galaxy beats as I put it around my neck, put my phone in my back pocket , and went downstairs.
"Where are you going?" Trent asked.
"To look around the city and probably a job. Why?" I answered.
"I was just wondering." He said putting his hands up in defeat.
"K. Bye!" I yelled getting on my neon colored bike. I road 'till I got to a farm kind of place that had a big banner that said "HIRING". I hit the brakes to my bike but ended up falling from my bike.
"Dammit!" I said under my breath as I got up and went to find the office.
"Hello um, sir, I heard you were hiring." I said.
"Ah yes finally!" He said/yelled. "May I ask you some questions?"
"Sure!"
"Do you have experience with horses?"
"Yes"
"Are you good with children?"
"You can say that." I said making him chuckle.
"Have you been raised with horses and own any horses that are in healthy condition?"
"Yes. Yes. And yes."
"Last question, are you pregnant?"
I gagged "NOOO!" I said and laughed.
"Your hired!"
"YEEESSS!" I said and jumped up from the chair and squeezed him. All
He did was laugh.
"I'm getting the satchel ready" I said as I walked off. I got a light brown horse and it's satchel. Apparently the satchel had her name on it.
"Percy, nice name lovely" I said as I petted her. I got on her and started walking her. Suddenly I heard a little girl scream.
"OMG look a girl Nash! A girl is here! Finally!" As I heard a couple of chuckles. I turned around and saw a few mouths open and a girl running towards me.
"Are you new here?" She asked. I stopped the horse and got off.
"Yes I am, my name is Avery and yours darling?" I said.
"Skylynn and that's my brother Nash and his friends. Can I ride Dallas?" She said pointing to a ocean blue eyed boy with brown hair that was smiling at us.
"Sure thing, Sky." I said taking her to the horses. She chose a horse that looks like mine but shorter and already had his satchel on. I helped her up and took her to the little land of grass that was fenced.
"Do you know the basics?" I asked her.
"Yup I do." She said in a sassy form.
"Alright that's my girl. Give me a high-five. " I said as we high- fived. She started galloping and took control. I walked to the boys.
"So yall gonna ride or what?" I asked them.
"Nah not really we just came with Sky."
"O come on have fun your sister is fine."
"Ok ok get me Cody por favor." He said in a not good mexican accent.
"Si señor!" I said as I did a salute thing and marched to get the horse. I heard a couple a laughs and 2 "she speaks spanish!"
"Hell yea Bitch!" I yelled back but enough so Sky wouldn't hear. I came back with Cody and gave him to him.
"FYI I will beat you any day." I told him getting back on Percy.
"Is that a challenge?" He asked in his southern voice. I nodded my head yes.
"Then I accept." He said and I laughed.
"Your about to get you ass kicked!" I said as I got a bit of "ooooes" and I bowed.
"I'm gonna get this battle started!" A tall tan boy with brown eyes said.
"Shut up Cam! I thought you were suppose to be in my side!" Nash yelled. I laughed.
"1, 2, 3 Go!" He yelled as I started right away leaving him behind. Of course I won. I got off and patted his back.
"How does your ass getting whooped by a girl feel." I said smirking.
"Fuck you!"
"Time, when, where? And Gross there are children." I said pointing to the boys as they laughed.
"Hey wanna trade numbers?" He asked.
"Sure."
We traded numbers and when I got my phone I saw the time. 2:15!
"Shit! I'm late!" I said earning stares from the guys.
"I have this thing on with my family. Do you know how to put the horses away? Can you? Great bye see you later." I said fast as I got on my bike and road off. As I got home I charged my phone and got in the shower and did the usual. When I got out I changed into a brown loose shirt and ripped shorts I let my hair flow in it's natural wavy form. I put on hot pink lip balm, very buy VERY little amount of concealer, and mascara. I put sandals on and gold, small hoops. I smiled and took my phone off it's charger and went downstairs.
"You were late." Trent said.
"Shut up." I said "I was doing something useful like a job." I finished leaving his mouth opened.
"You got a job! MOM AVES GOT A JOB!"
" Great now let's goo!" She said.
We all walked down the street and knocked on the door.
"Coming!" That voice sounds familiar.
He opened the door to reveal Sky and Nash.
"Avery!" Sky yelled.
"Hi!" Isaid earning weird stares from my family.
"Well hello again!" He said to where all the boys can see.
"Hey Horse Girl!" Cam said.
Boy this is gonna be a lonnng evening.
