It's a day like any other. The sun is shining, birds are singing, young children are starting their days off with play. The streets are bustling with activity as the city wakes up from a night of slumber. Cars are drifting down the streets and steam wafts upward from the vents of cafes whipping up food for their faithful patrons. On days like these, it's only natural to want to spend it outside, basking in the glow of the sunlight and the cool breeze clawing it's way through heads of hair.

Reo Kagemori, however, is not the most interested in this.

He isn't denying that it's a nice day outside, because it is. He just doesn't care all that much about the weather. He never really has, and he supposes he never really will. It's not like it really affects him anyways, he prefers to stay indoors. Curled up in his bed with a good book would be his ideal way to be spending his time. Sadly, he can't do that today. Being the avid reader he is, he plows through books, online and physical copies, at a fast pace, and now he's left high and dry with no new material to immerse himself in. He had decided earlier that today would be a good day to venture out to the bookstore to grab a couple new reads.

Jamming his foot into a sneaker, Kagemori stands up, smoothes the front of his hoodie, flips his hood up, and slips outside. Immediately he is met with wind blowing in his face, his unruly head of black shaggy hair getting ruffled even further. Squinting his deep purple eyes behind his half moon glasses, he huffs and turns to face the street, shoulders slumped. A small whiny sigh escapes his lips as he begins to stalk down the street, avoiding looking at anyone so as to not have to feel the obligation of waving or smiling in greeting. He can see a gaggle of teenage girls walking down the opposite side of the sidewalk in the distance, and internally braces himself for the worst. As they close the distance, one seems to notice him and leans over the pat her friends shoulder, whispering behind the palm of her hand while looking his way and pointing at him. The rest of them now look his way while smiling shyly, the one who started this giggling a little. Right when they're about to meet, Kagemori violently flinches and leans obviously away from them, a few beads of sweat forming on his brow. The bundle of teens are all surprised at his sudden movement, and pause to watch him quickly scurry away before they could try and strike up a conversation or question him.

As was just witnessed, Reo Kagemori is far from social. It's precisely why he likes to stay cooped up in the comfort of his home reading or doing other mundane activities. He just, never quite figured out how to properly interact with other living beings. He was shunned early on due to his quirk, and to this day he's never be able to shake that reputation. It does upset him some, but he feels as though he would still be some variant of antisocial no matter how many people tried to befriend him growing up. But, he sincerely does wish he could have gotten the chance to just talk to people more. Maybe then, he could hold a conversation with people now without looking like he thinks they're about to stab him. Oh god, and talking to girls? He would rather die then have to talk to them. They're so hard to read! And they all seem to flirt with him! He doesn't even know what's remotely attractive about him. Maybe his face, but considering he hides behind a mop of black hair, he doesn't think that to be very likely. Maybe it's his sensitivity? They could possibly relate to that. It doesn't really matter though, he never understood women and he isn't about to try now.

Resting his hand over his pounding heart, Kagemori shakily sighs in relief. "This is why I don't like going out." he mumbles. "Too many people look at me." As if on cue, a man watering a lawn beside him shot a mildly confused glance his way, having heard him mumbling to himself. A pained expression overtakes Kagemori as he tilts his head to face the man a little better. A more exasperated whine escapes him and he resumes his shuffle.
