The Divide

I hear the crunching of leaves as I lay in the bushes, I'm completely surrounded if I move they will catch me. Capt. Martinz sent me to get intel for the Iran's base in Utah. I just crossed over the divide, the war has been going on for 10 years now. It all started when the U.S bombed Iran. My name is Prvt. Anderson but my code name is Frost, I volunteered for the war when I turned 20 I joined an elite group of soldiers called Bravo 6. I wait it out for 30 minutes, the enemy soldiers are about 50 yards away now. The sun is setting, I radio in to Capt. Martinez "Green Light" he says, ''I respond with Bravo 6 going dark. I stand up start slowly start moving closer to the road, I hear the engine of a truck approaching. I throw mine into the middle of the road and made my way back into the forest. The truck took forever but after what felt like 10 minutes BOOM! I stood up and ran across the road and slowly made my way farther into the thick forest. It kept getting darker and darker as the hours get later. I felt my radio buzz, I answer it "Frost progress report" said Martinz. I answer with one truck down no confirmed EKIAs. "Good Job I will send in a squad to take care of the guards near the truck" said Martinz. Now that it is dark enough I pull my night vision down. I kept moving through the night.Martinez told me he left a quad to move faster I have only made it about 15 miles away from the divide. I got to the quad and hopped on, I knew the Iranians were after me, after we got over the divided and blew up a truck. Now I'm at the third divide that they are taking down right now, they keep moving further and further. The third divide was the biggest loss in the war so far it was when we lost Hill Air Force Base in Utah. They came with so much fire power nobody expected this war to happen.

I still have somewhere around 50-60 miles till the base. All of the canyons have Iran blockades in them so I either have to risk it or go over the mountains. I get up on a hill about 600 yard from the mouth of the canyon. I have a 50 bmg sniper that was on the quad the scope can see up to two miles away. I see about 5 Iran soldiers if I shoot they will call in backup. So I ditch the quad and start over the mountain. The Utah mountains are very steep, after 6 hours I'm to the top and start down. All I have right now is a glock and a m4a1 with a suppressor, foregrip, and acog sight. In my pack I have an MRI for 5 days, two flash bangs, one proximity mine, and two frags. I radio in to Capt. Martinez, I said around 50 miles to the base, "I have a squadron coming for backup to clear the canyon and help getting into the base, also we have air support sitting over the base right now," Martinez said. Ok I am heading down to the road right then my radio buzzed "This is Bravo 6 coming for backup Frost what is your location" said someone over the radio. I said in the middle of the canyon "start back to the mouth for a flank we are 10 minutes out" the voice said. Ok I get down to the road and start making my back, I see the blockade and right then a truck comes with a gun on top and starts firing on blockade. They get through it fast and speed down to me. I hop in the truck its Price and Soap.Price says "Frost tell the air support to start firing also say stay of the main building" Ok I radio into the air support I say stay off the main building green light we are 5 started running for the entrance. When we got to the gate it had a lock on so Price told one Soap to cut it with the lock cutters he had on his back. I radioed in to X3106 and said we are entering the base and to siez fire. Most of the base was cleared out already all we had to do was get close to the main building and hack into their systems. But we had to get really close so we ran to the building and unpacked the laptop that was in my pack. I am a tech guy so I got into the system very fast and found what we were looking for. Filename: Classified what was in it: Blueprints of the whitehouse and blueprints of an Iran plane. "They are going for the white house, sir." Soap. We packed up and started to go back to the jeep and sped toward the divide. We had to get far enough away form the base so they wouldn't intercept the radio call. I called in to Martiez and told him they are going for the white house. "Ok we will move some SAM launchers over to defend it will be risky though" Martinez.
