Somewhere around the edge of the world where the sun meets the moon above the horizon as well as below there are dragons of many shapes and sizes that come from the dragon realms everywhere you look fire dragons ice dragons star dragons etc, etc all living in harmony under the rule of the great divine dragons the king and queen of dragons along with there only daughter Lucy heartfilia.

Everything might seem perfect to everyone else but to me almost everyday is the same don't get me wrong living in the castle is fine and all but the truth is I don't get to see my parents that often there always in the throne room having meetings and stuff its really boring.... so sometimes my father invites his friend Igneel to come over and visit from time to time he hangs out with me when my parents aren't around its really fun!! we play hid n seek and sometimes we transform and go out flying sometimes I wish my parents would hang out with me like Igneel does
( let me clarify "transforming" , everyone in the dragon kingdom can transform to have a human appearance but their true form is dragons this is Lucy as a dragon since she is still young she is a small dragonet)

Until one day igneel came over but he didn't play with me instead he had a private audience with my parents I was very curious so I snuck into the vent leading into the throne room and heard this........ , King Arctic - Igneel about that boy Natsu im sure you know this he hasn't been able to turn into his true form since the day he was born im very concrend how is he doing with the other dragonets? Im sure your very concrend old friend but suprisedly he is doing well I cant say the same about him getting along with the other dragonets but he has been able to control his fire in human form so with your permission if I could train him into becoming a dragon slayer until one day he would be able to turn to true form Igneel said..... A DRAGON SLAYER!!! King Arctic snapped Igneel you know we have been at war with them ever since they arose from whatever hole they came out of!!!!!! ....... I know....... I know but if I don't his power will over take him over if I could teach him Dragon slayer magic his human body would lock away the rest until he would
be able to use it NO! Ive seen your boy that power of his is greatly advanced not to mention he is half demon one day he could destroy us all!!!! ARCTIC THAT'S ENOUGH!!!! ......... huh. Runa? what is it??? I agree with Igneel its his son isnt it? I know Natsu could turn out evil with that demon side of his but he also is a Dragon so we should help him...... BUT RUNA A DRAGON SLAYER??? yes but on one condition Igneel......... Igneel- huh yes My Queen..... I will allow you to train Natsu here in the dragon realms but you and him will be living here in the kingdom and he will be engaged to my daughter --------
