Often the people we love,
Don't feel the same way.
Feeling are fragile
But you care about their feelings
more than yours.
How's that fair?
Why do we bear the cost of loving someone?
Everybody loves and everybody feels,
Why do we break ourselves in order to protect someone?
Part of me knows the answer
But something tells me that we don't deserve the pain,
We just want to feel loved.
