Lance's POV

We were about to eat breakfast, when the alarm goes off. Like come one. It's the first meal we get, and we have to fight. We got to the control room and Allura spoke but I wasn't listening. "Alright paladins get to that base and free those prisoners" she said with such glee.

Like what the hell, I haven't even eaten yet and you expect me to go fight empty stomached. "Yes allura" we got it. We got in the lions and were on our way. I was pretty pissed the whole time. Shiro wasn't to sure about me so he spoke up "are you alright, Lance" "yeah I'm fine" "you don't sound "fine"" "I'm hungry and tired alright".  Then, silence.

We had finally reached the base, to my surprise it was abandoned, apparently allura had said it was but I wasn't listening. We all got out of our lions, and saw that a Momara ship had followed us. Just by the fact that Keith was not here and that a Momara ship is landing, It had bound to be Keith. THE HOT-HEADED KEITH. And I was right, there he was, wandering out of his ship. I was pissed to see his slim body. I was just pissed to begin with, because of all the things that have already happened today. Like wake up horny as fuck, not able to eat breakfast, having to fucking go on a mission, see Keith. How much worse could today get. So instead of getting upset over it, I just sat down, not caring if I got a lecture, or a hit on the head. "What happened here" a very familiar voice boomed. It was keith, in his stupidly mocking tone. "he's just a little pricky right now" I laugh. Me. Pricky. Seriously. I mean I know he's the leader but damn, to me that felt low.

Keith ruffled my hair. He was the last person I want to touch my hair. I jerked away quickly. "DUDE WHAT THE HELL" "sorry" yeah like he was sorry. (damn lance is having a bad day) we eventually got in the base, we had spread out to get all the prisoners faster. I came across one cell that at first seemed like no one was in there, cause my body heat rays weren't picking anything up, til I saw a small, purple and green glow, which meant someone was in there dying. I had to do something, I shot the door open to see a girl with h/l hair covered in blood, breathing shallow. "Guys, I'm heading back to the castle, Corran get a Healing Pod set up" I said into my helmet.

2 hours later

I finally felt fine. For the first time this morning, me, Lance McClain, felt fine. I was still hungry and kinda horny, but otherwise I was great. I walked into the healing bay to see everyone we saved, then my eyes trailed to the girl with h/l hair. She was finally peaceful, not covered in blood and was breathing normal. She was, pretty. I noticed I was staring so I quickly looked away, she had black hair just like keith, and bangs fairly similar. Then said teen, Walked in. I saw him freeze, mid sentence, mid step. He stared at the girl, with her h/l hair and s/t skin. Then he spoke "Y/N".
