Kim Namjoon was bored. He was standing on the side of the ballroom, talking to Lord Han about the harvest. To be honest, Lord Han's wife looked extremely bored as well, but he knew, as he shifted uncomfortably, that she was enjoying herself by studying him a bit too closely. He was struggling to keep up with the story Han was telling when he stopped listening altogether.

There, standing by the entrance, was the most beautiful creature Namjoon had ever seen. He must've been at least four years younger than him, with wide, unique hazel eyes, thin pink lips, cute nose, and soft brown hair. He wore a dress of light pink with gold accents and wore gold earrings.

Namjoon paused upon seeing the obvious Alpha by his side, disappointment hitting him hard. The Alpha was handsome- around his age, being tall (though not as tall as Namjoon, who stood at six foot two), strikingly handsome, and elegantly graceful. But then he relaxed when he saw the Alpha's platonic words and actions with the gorgeous Omega, and, as they got closer, the same smell. Siblings. He wrinkled his nose a bit at the Alpha's strong cherry wood and fire smell, but was intoxicated with the Omega's cream, vanilla, and honey smell with a hint of fire. From the Jeon clan, then. The Jeons all faintly smelled of fire, no matter how distant relationships were.

He found himself quickly excusing himself from the conversation and heading straight for the Omega, who didn't notice he was approaching until all conversation around him died. He turned, blinking innocently, to face Namjoon, before dropping into a curtsy upon realizing who it was. "May I offer you this dance?" Namjoon finally managed to get out, awed by this Omega's beauty. Beauty he had not noticed since... well, since his eldest brother was still around. It was a mixture of his hyung's beauty and of Yoongi's beauty- quiet, yet loud all the same. The boy did not seem aware of it, unlike both of the two Omegas Namjoon used to know- Jin, his older brother, who knew and flaunted it like crazy, and Yoongi, Namjoon's former lover who seemed embarrassed by it.

"Oh... yes, your majesty, I'd be honored." The boy blushed, and Namjoon noted that it was a lovely color on his clear, honey skin. They joined the dance as people murmured, and the boy's cheeks stayed the same lovely red color they had been before. "May I ask your name?" Namjoon inquired kindly. The boy blinked up at him in surprise, mouth parting slightly. "Jeongguk, your majesty. Jeongguk of the Jeon clan." Namjoon twirled him effortlessly. Two left feet he might've had, but he had been trained in dance since he could crawl, and by his older brother Hoseok, the dancing king, nonetheless.

"Jeongguk. A meaningful name. Great country." Namjoon mused. "Yes, your majesty." The boy flushed. "Please, none of that "your majesty" here. I happen to like your honesty more than I like most of the lying people I surround myself with. You may call me Namjoon-hyung." The boy looked him in the eyes for the first time and a smile grew on his face, lighting up his features and Namjoon fell even harder, somewhere in the back of his mind noting that the boy had adorable bunny teeth.

"Namjoon-hyung, then. My brother calls me Ggukie." He offered, and Namjoon smiled, kissing his hand gently, but keeping eye contact as their dance ended. "Ggukie, then." Jeongguk's cheeks went cherry red again and Namjoon was just about to ask him to take a stroll when a servant ran up to Namjoon and whispered the words in his ear that he had been dreading to hear for seven years now. His eyes closed and he took a deep breath.

He smiled sadly, and kissed Jeongguk's hand once more. "I hope I have made an impression on you, Jeongguk of the Jeon clan, and I hope you will stay at the palace so that I may get to know you better. I am sorry I could not spend more time with you tonight, but I have an announcement to make." Jeongguk curtsied. "I understand. You are a busy man, and I also hope to see you soon... hyung." Namjoon smiled at the formality afterwards before making his way towards the throne.

"The King has passed." He announced, once up there, and closed his eyes as the gasps and murmurs started.

A/N: Hey, guys! This is my first story is a very long time and one that I've been working on for a while. I had my friend Ezra check it out beforehand and was told that while I needed to work on the sequel a bit, this was really really good and that I should post it. So, here I am. I really hope you'll like "The Breaking Point". Just FYI, it is a fanfiction and it is end: Namkook, Taegi, and 2Seok. Not sure where Jimin will fit in considering his character, but that might be in the sequel ;). I know the first chapter is confusing, but it's all leading up to something, I promise. You'll notice how Namjoon keeps mentioning to 2Seok and Yoongi and why that is relevant to the story and plot... but later. No spoilers. Unless there's smut. Which there might be a little. Not totally relevant to the plot, but you know, A/B/O universe, there's got to be a little smut.

Anyways, as for my posting schedule- I don't really have one. I'll try and update as much as I can, but I am currently juggling school and a bunch of other stuff on my plate, so I can't promise anything. Constructive criticism is appreciated and I really love reading through your comments, so please go ahead! Also, I'm not really going over the chapters three times to check for grammar and spelling, but if you catch something, let me know! I know I hate it when I'm reading something with bad grammar and spelling, and I want you to have the best time reading this as possible. Thank you!
