DEPENDING ON WHAT GENDER YOU READ IN:
THIS COULD BE VERY GAY
If ya not into that, then read in a male perspective.

Bye lovelies~😘

A still silhouette stands on at the end of an old pier. The dying sun sings with a sweet orange light as it slowly lowers into the beyond. The woman in front of you holds herself, as she watches the beautiful sunset, yet your eyes remain on her back. A circlet made of flower sits upon the woman's tight curls. The dress that falls to her knees slightly flow back by the gentle push of the wind. The air holds the taste of salt.

The ocean waves softly call out from underneath the creek wood as it crashes against the pier's support beams. Distance cries of seagulls demand attention yet you can't seem to pry your eyes off of her.

She turns around. Her lips beautiful painted in a dazzling ruby red. A winged eyeliner borders the edges of her pale brown eyes. A pinch sadness pokes your heart, by the fact that she covered her natural freckles with foundation and artificial blush, but you blow it off since she now feels as pretty as she is.

She tucks a lock of her raven black hair behind her ear, looking down at her feet.

I'm going to do it.

You think for the thousandth time today, but this time, you had confidence.

Primary because it's getting too dark to see how much of a nervous wreck you are.

"Veronica..." You utter quietly, your anxiety praying that it was too soft to hear. She looks into your eyes, her open smile growing bigger by the second, revealing her slightly crooked teeth. "I-..." You take a short breath to calm your wild nerves. "We had a lot of fun today..."

She prideful nods. Her delicate fingers glazing the flower crown she made with you a few hours ago. Her nails are painted in a lovely pearl white shine.

"Like we always do..." You whisper, more to yourself, as you remember all the times she would visit on a dime's notice, whenever she had the slightest feeling you were doubting your importance in life. She would always knock on your door -sometimes at the most unholiest of hours- with your favorite snacks in hand and the plan to make you tea.

Of course, you always insisted you were fine, and sometimes you were. Then you would insist that she leave, and that you're "a big boi and could handle yourself," and she would always laugh and smile, then stay for -at least- 30 minutes before leaving you alone with your new snacks and beverage.

"Are you alright?" Her words dripping with worries, as she reaches out, and touches your arm. Your muscles instantly relax by her warmth and you quickly throw on a smile to ease her conscience.

"Y-yeah, it's just..." I don't want to ruin our friendship. Your thoughts confess, yet on the other side of that coin: I can't keep hiding my feelings from you.

You tenderly grab her hand. "Veronica.... I..." Just do it! Just do it! Just do it! Rip it off like a bandaid!! And if things go south, we can always yeet yourselves into the sea. "I-I want you to be my girlfriend!!" You say, a little louder than planned

Afraid of her response, you shut your eyes tightly, before her expression could change.

After a short moment, you sense movement from the woman of your dreams, and with all the hesitation in the world, you slowly open your eyes.
.
She's looking down again. One hand still in ours, while the other one shields her gaze from yours. It was only like that for a second, as she drops her defense when she feels you looking at her.

Tears line the bottom of her caramel eyes, even though the widest smile is spread across her cheeks. A small chuckle erupts from her. "You had me worried that for a second." She says, relieved, as she strangles a lock of hair.

Your brows fuse together. "W-what? How?" You ask, not seeing where her anxieties would come from.

"I don't know! I just thought you took me on this dream of day just to be like:" She temporarily let's go of her hair to hold up a peace sign. "Bye girl," She drops her fingers, and lifts her thumb, holding it over her shoulder. "I'mma head out and never talk to you again."

"That's ridiculous! Why would I ever do that?!?"

"I don't know!!"  Her hand gravitates back to her hair. "I've been told that I'm clingy and I never give people enough space."

You let go of her hand, igniting a bewildered expression from Victoria. You take a step closer towards her, and before anything could be questioned, you pull her into a hug. "If anything, you've been giving me too much space..." You mutter, your cheeks warming up, as you're actions surprised yourself.

She stays frozen a moment, before wrapping her arms around you, and burying her face in neck. "I'll try to make you not regret those words." She heartily says in a giggle.

The two of you stay like this until the sun was fully replaced with a bright moon.

As if synchronized, both your arms drop at the same time. "Sooooo..." You say nervously, even though you think you know the answer. "Are... you my girlfriend?"

Her grip tightens around your hand. "For as long as you'll have me." She confirms with a sweet smile.

You bring her hand to your lips and kiss the back of it. "Then, how does an eternity sound?"
